Have you ever heard of a HUMAN POLYGLOT before? It's basically a person who can speak more than 10 languages, and just wait to see what I have to show you today!
While traveling around Budapest yesterday, I randomly met a Slovak guy named Vladimir who can speak 22 languages, 9 of them fluently and the rest conversational.
You honestly won't believe this is true until you hear him speak! What a legend!
How many languages can you speak? I know English, Spanish and Korean and survival Czech, Russian and Tagalog!

This guy is amazing, I know him, he study languaages really hard way, like picking up random book in a language he is total beginner and tries to translate each word, takes lot of time, persistance, repetiton. This is the reason he is truly the best in world. I would say the first 10 langauges he truly speaks at C2 and rest on B2-C1. BUt he understands all of them deeply. Who should we admire and who would motivate us like Vladmir, there is no one only fake ones. Vladimir is humble he always think he speak not that good at some langauges, but in fact in our terms he speaks them perfectly. God bless you VLad, Slovakia, I am just random lazy slovak lol, which I had the motivation like you. All get inspired and check out his channel, there he mentions some pretty interresting stuff, from which you will definitely have benefit.
@wattswatts9179
2 жыл бұрын
In Russian he messed up the phrase "I speak Russian", which is a pretty simple phrase. I really doubt he is even C1 in Russian, let alone C2. I can't judge the other languages in his top 10, but Russian was one of the ones he said was in his best and he is probably still B2. (no hate, just want people to be realistic)
I studied around 12 languages in my life and I can speak 7 of them at least at B1/B2 level. People usually are amazed by my language skills, but this guy puts me to shame LOL

Wow, so many languages at C1. You know, many of these polyglots which speak +20 languages got it up to A2, maybe B1. But the gap from B to C increases drastically, so it is really hard work to just get one of these that high. I've heard him speaking german, which sounds almost native. Stunning! He was (and still is) one of my biggest motivations to take on several languages.

I think if you have Slavic as your native tongue you can pronounce pretty much anything. I speak Russian and after learning English I feel like I pretty much can pronounce any weird sound like "th" or "zh". When I took Spanish and started reading the words out loud my prof told me I have a clearer pronunciation than many native speakers.
@giulia7004

@@bekakilov9656 I don’t think so... Italian sounds totally different than English or Spanish, we have a different pronunciation. Not that easy
@bekakilov9656
3 жыл бұрын
@@giulia7004 What I meant is the letter pronunciation. Like if you know many languages there's a high chance you will be able to pronounce a complicated sound from a new language you are learning since the hardest part of learning new pronunciation is that your mouth simply doesn't have the muscle memory to produce certain sounds. This guy is mastering Chinese pronunciation so I would guess he can do Italian as well. Regarding the Slavic part: I believe Slavic languages have a long set of random sounds that sound crazy, so that might give them an advantage in a starting set of pronounceable sounds known to the speaker. It's just my theory though lol
I speak Esperanto and enjoy communicating with people from many different cultures. It is nice to learn lots of different languages, but if you have a busy life, try to learn at least Esperanto.

For example he says “czech I don’t count its almost as slovak” i think 95% native speakers would say “like” there instead of “as” and there are other things as well that give away to me English is not his native language. I have a good ear tho. A lot of people i know can’t even distinguish Canadian from American accent.
