this is a map with one dude swinging around. The official game has a fully fleshed out campaign with voice acting, cutscenes , a complete progression and gameplay system and multiplayer missions. Please have common sense . It's like comparing a car's AWESOME door knob with a fully built AVERAGE car. Even if Guedin's game is ever finished it will be an amazing multiplayer experience with more precise controls and that's about it, but in reality Wings of Freedom still does a lot of things better than this will ever do simply because it has a whole development team behind it and it focuses on other aspects. The controls in wings of freedom focused on ease of use, for an immersive single player experience. If you didn't like them that's fine but they were a really good control scheme if you take 5 seconds to realise it was meant to be playable on a controller. Despite that i still think that this is a good base for improving upon the older tribute game.

Damask Yes I did. I didn't like the movement system. Locking on to certain parts of titans instead of aiming for them yourself.The game lacked a challenge.Even the fan made game by Feng Lee was miles better imo.I'm hoping for Guedin's to be the best in the bunch.

Looks as looks, look at the movement. I may really like AoT:Wings of Freedom (newest official game) but the idea of grappling titan neck with autoaim and going around it while keeping it targetet is a bit meh. Guedin stands a chance of making the game most accurate to making player feel like being a part of anime/manga :)

Exactly the Anime/Manga is all about freedom and the Wings of Freedom game negates it with locking on,and limited movement options.I really hope Guedin doesn't get C&D letter.

New map is really cool. New phisics made flying less fun. It's way slower now on double grid, not only it takes a while to connect chains, but their acceleration is way worse, yet, the chains lenght is too long it makes it too easy to connect anywhere. The ability to turn direction while on motion when flyiing is no subtle anymore. When grinding to a point you can make the push go in a direction completly outside the connection point. It used to push you to it, and you could turn outside with skill. Now that's removed. Falling speed is way slower, there's not much desaceleration, it's really hard to touch the floor by mistake, unlike before. Current phisics/chains are not too satisfying compared with previous patch, which felt completly on point. We could travel with high speed and risks or slow down and control more. There's no much difference anymore. I loved to push double chains on the same targets constantly, targeting corners, to travel an maneuver at max speed constantly. This has been removed :'(

You sir just presented a perfect review. Before flying was way more satisfying, I'd felt it but couldn't quite pinpoint the diferenciating factor. I'll leave my like hoping that guedin sees this. We are of corse grateful for his dedication to a project that is non profitable but we still want the game to reach its full potential.Well done sir.

W_Jur_ I know, I'm just agreeing that the reworked physics need some tweaking to feel right.Guedin probably needs some more time to make that on point again(or that might not even be possible... lets pray thats not the case).Just providing that good old feed back :)

W_Jur_ Yah, he will be adjusting them on the go, but pointing a quality-analysis of what was already a big success might be helpful. Still, I expirience some weird stuff on previous phisics when pivoting a turrent and looking to the center of rotation... because it accelerated lol

Thanks a lot for the input man! It's helpful ;) I have the feeling that the biggest issue come from the camera, more than the physics itself, cause the max speed is the same here than the previous update. In the previous update, the camera pulled back a lot, and the fov distorted a lot too! The drawback was that the character was excessively tiny on screen. I tried something with the camera but it still work in progress, and I'm hoping the speed feeling will be improved a lot by the camera. I'm also a bit concerned about combat. Huge acceleration may not be what you want when dealing in combat, when you are already close to the titan. So I'm expecting to get back to physics and camera again when I'll be working on combat

You, my friend, just wrote exactly what i had in mind. I fully agree. While we can't complain of Guedins efforts and hard work, it feels really slow. Also the cables are a little to thick and wobbly for my taste, but as Guedin pointed out, it may only be because of the camera angle.

been no joke watching waiting to see this much for so long, i am so happy that you have even gotten as far as the charcters, while most give up because of the big company competition keep it up

that's awesome af, your progress is ridiculously fast since your a one man team, been here ever since you were just playing with the idea and I'm just stunned at your work. here's to the better future of your project~!

The problem is, IF the company plans to make a game similar to the game I want to create. And then I share my game for free (for instance in github as an educational project). The company will then loose the market it was expected to have. Assuming that the company still want to develop their game, then they will notice me to take down the game. And I will of course follow this. But the problem is that a lot of people already downloaded the game. Will I ever be sued for this? For making the company's planned game less profitable. I have done some research. Some people say they some company's would sue, while some wouldn't. My question is there a possibility for the company to win the court, if they sue me? PS: Here I assume that I have done creating a complete game that is comparable to the planned game of the company. Released on github for free (for educational purpose). I remove the game from github at the time i recieve a notice from the company. (Many people may have downloaded it)

Yeah that's a tricky subject indeed. I would say that I don't have any example of people being sued by a company IF they didn't make any profit from it. But of course that doesn't necessarily means we're 100% in the clear. I had the same problem as you when I started this project, some people claiming that will run into legal issue, other saying that I would be fine as long as I don't take any money. I decided to go for it and take my chance, and see how it plays out. If I'm asked to take the project down, of course I will do it no question asked.

Keep up the amazing work Guedin! Here are a couple known bugs I'd like to report to you! (Although you probably already know about them, hah). - Character clips through some parts of the map. (Some buildings and some places where the ground is elevated) - Sporadic shadows in some areas.

I've just given it a try and it is very good !! I haven't figured out how to attack and I wished I could use gas when I'm unhooked, but other than that, This is everything a good AoT game should be. Keep going, your game is heading the right direction to be the ultimate AoT Game !!

Great looking buildings! But it needs to be a lot dirtier, especially on the roads. A few props or debris here and there would spice up the visuals a lot. I love the running on walls animation. Keep up the good work!

Hey Guedin ! I think your game is awesome (because it is awesome) but here is a list of things I think you should add : I think we should be able to attack the titans on other part of their body like the eyes (most important part for me) or the arms or the legs etc... I think that titans should be faster so it is harder. I think this is all I can tell you to add because this game is already almost perfect. The things I told you to add will make the players play as a team in multiplayer and I think it is important in an Attack on Titan Game. So, GOOD LUCK AND MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU !!! ALWAYS !!!

Damn I'm confident this could blow the attack on titan tribute game out of the water and rectify the skill based/difficulty that the official game failed to deliver upon if you keep working on this and implement the combat and release a beta. keep up the hard work!
