The realization that Nebula and Rocket were alone without the rest of the Guardians for 5 years during the Blip and only had each other makes her eagerness to save him and her reaction when she heard that he was alive *heartbreaking*

Another emotional beat that a lot of people don’t talk about is when the Guardians see the footage of the experiments done on Rocket. The way Nebula says, through tears, “This is worse than what Thanos did to me” always breaks me. You see Thanos literally pulling her apart in Infinity War, and she still said that. It hits deep, at least for me.

The final scene is surreal to me. Here is this guy who went on cosmic adventures, faced down galactic threats, was turned to dust for 5 years, fell in love with a space warrior, and stopped several extinction level events ending up back on Earth sitting across from his grandfather, eating a bowl of cereal complaing about some dude watching him mow the grass. Hell of an ending to the Guardians movies, 10/10

It made zero sense that Quill wasn’t in secret Invasion. That’s another L for marvel with that show. It could’ve been so great and Sam plus everybody else were doing their thing. Quill could’ve showed up in the last episode or something.

God, the High Evolutionary is arguably the most pure evil MCU villain, because he's not just evil, he's a cruel sort of evil who cares about absolutely nothing other than himself. Chukwudi Iwuji is an INCREDIBLE actor; he played that role so well.

I knew Chukwudi Iwuji was great in Peacemaker but he really killed it in this. The High Evolutionary & the Green Goblin personality are my favorite recent MCU villains because they’re not the usual sympathetic characters. They’re just pure evil psychopaths. I feel like I haven’t seen it done this well since Heath Ledger’s Joker tho. When it comes to outside the MCU, Homelander is pretty great at being a sick & demented bully. You never know when he’s going to snap. Vecna/001 from Stranger Things was very evil too. The Massacre at Hawkins Lab may be my favorite episode of that entire series.

Yeah. And I love it. I’ve always missed these kind of villains. These days Hollywood always have to make it a point to give us a sympathetic villain. To the point where he/she loses what makes him/her scary and dangerous.

The scene where Rocket takes all those baby raccoons, just fully accepting that he is who he is, is so well done. I cried about 12 times in this movie. Top 3 marvel movies for sure.

Chris Pratts scream when Rocket was flatlining, absolutely gut wrenching. I’ve watched this movie 3 times and seen about 10 commentaries and it still shakes me to my core. So much raw, tangible emotion packed into such a short scene for a cgi character and you can feel every bit of it.

I thought that too. Between Star Lord's general demeanor, his past with Parks and Recreation, etc, Chris Pratt definitely has a type of character that he plays and is good at, the endearing idiot that you can't help but love. Goofy and over the top, not always making the best decisions, but has a heart of gold. But with all of that aside, the only thought going through my head every time I witness that yell of pure anguish is "that's a damn good bit of acting."

The first GOTG was my mom’s favorite comic book movie ever, sadly she passed away from cancer complications in 2015 at just 65 years old. What hooked her to the movie at first was the soundtrack of many of the songs she grew up on, but then she loved it so much that she became a fan of the MCU. It’s why this franchise has a very special place in my heart. So when Dog Days Are Over (ANOTHER favorite of mine and my mom’s) was playing and the Guardians were celebrating/moving on with their lives, I was a wreck. Not out of pain of loss, but of remembering the good times I had with my mom. As for the movie itself, it’s one of my top 10 favorite comic book movies ever, as well as an all time favorite. With a supervillain I have never wanted to kill more than The High Evolutionary. And I love that the song that was played to send off the Guardians Of The Galaxy was the first song we as the audience heard when we saw Peter in the opening titles of Vol 1. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go listen to Come And Get Your Love by Redbone!

I think the part of this movie I appreciate most is that the stakes aren't the end of the world for once and that's extremely refreshing. Yes, the high evolutionary may have become a bigger threat down the road but they didn't do any of this to save anyone but rocket

Also the line “this story has been yours all along you just didn’t know it” is a message from James Gunn, he agreed to do the guardians movies because he wanted to tell the story of rocket. From day 1 it’s been his story

I'll back onto this comment since you've covered what I was going to say. Technically, Groot's line wasn't from their perspective, but ours - just that we are part of them now.

In the theatre it was rough holding back. through so many moments. Their acting was so great Drax:- " I had a daughter just like you." About killed me. Nebula:- "You weren't born to be a Destroyer. You were born to be a Dad. " pushed me over and the tears rolled.

I saw this pop up in my feed, and my first thought was how I'm gonna see more tears than we had in the GoT reactions

This movie is a piece of art. The moment when Adam saves Quill, they both make THAT pose which resembles a famous painting, "The creation of Adam". This was so poetic and creative. Really sets in the idea that Adam is being created as a guardian as he saves Peter. James Gunn is a genius. Can't wait to see his take on DCU.

That pose was most on the nose thing, one of the characters is named Adam + its analogy to most known and probably most often interpreted and referenced paintings (frescs) in modern pop culture. If someone didnt immedieately recognized it... then they had to dozed off or went to toilet at this moment or smth xd Or were 6-8 years old and not into art

Fun fact: Lylla the Otter is voiced by Linda Cardellini who also plays Hawkeye’s wife and War Pig is voiced by Judy Greer who also plays Ant-Man’s ex-wife. Thus continues the trend of actors/actresses who show up as multiple characters throughout the MCU

In the comics Cosmo is male dog. In the movies Gunn wanted female dog because inspiration for the character, real Soviet space dog Laika was a female dog.

The GREAT things about Adam's simplicity, is that he is literally only about 4 days old.

Interesting detail about Rocket's perception of Purgatory(where he reunites with his friends as he's dying), it looks like the kennel where they were kept. Which reminded me of the goddess Taweret's explanation in Moon Knight: that a person's perception of the purgatorial stage of death takes the form of a location most familiar to their minds(which in Moon Knight's case was an insane asylum)

the images of the cages were there to illistrate that Rocket had to escape his own mental cage, and with him confessing his guilt to Lylla and Lylla forgiving him on behalf of Teefs and Floor, and this confirmed by Floor's evident joy when it looks like Rocket's going to walk to meet them, it shows Rocket is clearly free of his mental torture and can go forward from here. Lylla sends him back on behalf of the hands who guide the hands because of peter fighting to save him, and that he has to realise he is what she says he is, a raccoon. I think even Floor, with her limited intellect, and badly mutilated by the HE though she was, still realised she was a rabbit.

Groot's appearance is remarked by many people and I get why they may be confused, however what has to be noted is that THIS Groot is NOT the same Groot we saw in Volume 1. This is technically his son. The seedling Groot (Baby Grrot) that was introduced in Volume 2 is who THIS Groot is. He's the offspring of the original we saw. He sacrificed himself and left a seedling behind. Just like a real tree. It is by all definitions the exact same in terms of biological comparison, but as a sapling from a previous tree it will grow and evolve slightly differently. It's not even confirmed whether THIS Groot even has all the same memories of the first one we saw. It was just raised by the Guardians so it still has a familial attachment to them all. Especially Rocket and Gamora. There's also a case to be made that the original Groot left a kind of Genetic memory imprint on the sapling to just instsinctively KNOW that the Gaurdians are family.

Captain Pedantic here. New Groot isn't a seedling as he wasn't grown from a seed, he is a cutting or a slip. As a cutting, clone or slip he is genetically identical to old Groot but like twins can grow up to be different.

If you genetically grow a tree from a cutting of an existing one it's still the same tree (by species) but it will LOOK different because it technioccally IS.

It's DNA will degrade over time and become 'elderly". It's why Dolly the sheep had geriatric illnesses very young. I grew pot for 15 years and some of the strains I grew had been continuously propagated for several decades but the strains do degrade over time. And great care must be taken to keep them vigorous.

I already agreed that a cutting grown will have exactly the same genetic make-up. BUT it WILL look different. And also, I'm not just making this up I've read articles from the writers of guardians 2 SAYING that Baby Groot is More likely "an offspring" than the exact same Groot. As I said JUSDT LIKE A TREE. cut a branch off plant it and let it grow and it will look completely different form the tree it came from, BUT they are still "speaking in terms of species of tree" the exact same. Look out side and see those trees in fron of your window. Ther are the ea=xact same tree but notice hoew the are ALSO completely different. One theory I love as to why this Groot is so big is because he spent some of his adolescence around guys like Thor and Drax and wanted to be as big as them. So he emulated them to get bigger.

Nebula's reaction to hearing Rocket's voice over the comms gets me everytime. It shows how much they leaned on each other during the 5 years they spent together after the snap when they were pulling double duty as both Guardians and Avengers. She and Rocket had become so close, she even stood up against Gamora for him. And when they are watching the hologram of what High Evolutionary did to Rocket, and Nebula says "This is worse than what Thanos did to me"

30:00 “there’s no way he’s going to die like this, this movie’s not even about Peter” It’s so interesting to see the perspective of someone who wasn’t invested in the marketing as the movie was HEAVILY marketed as this group’s last ride, the cast had practically convinced fans that one of them were going to kick the bucket, so actually watching the film it felt like nobody was safe. Heck, I was even scared for Drax against Warlock during my first time watching

James Gunn really came in & dropped one of the best trilogies in modern cinema like it was nothing, this movie had me in an emotional wreck at the end.

Floor totally creeped me out the entire film. A rabbit that moved like a spider with its legs just hanging was freaky. And then "Rocket, Teefs, Floor go now!" happened and that damn rabbit had me balling my eyes out. The desperation in that plea. The knowledge that if they didn't run immediately they would die. The silence of the cry absolutely deafening. The creepy rabbit tore my heartstrings and I still am not okay.

And don't forget that when Floor was screaming like that, the rabbit was fighting her rabbit urges. She wanted to keep her friends alive. Chose to suppress her rabbit urges to stick near and get her friends out. And she died for it.

From my understanding, being able to hear what Groot is saying at the end was a nod to how everyone who spends enough time with him starts being able to understand him, including in this case the audience. :D

He wanted a utopia. Dude was so brilliant, but not smart enough to realize you can't have that and have brilliant, creative creatures too. It just doesn't work. Morality comes from being sapient. It's a concept. Animals don't have morality, they don't see much farther past their next meal. They have emotions and can even become depressed, but they don't feel bad about the animals they eat (most often while that animal is still alive). He was a deeply flawed person who hated the world, likely because he himself was abused, and was desperate to make a perfect world to compensate. Pretty impressive to fuel your trauma into all of that, but he would never be satisfied. Even if he could make a utopia, he'd still be miserable, because the problem was never with the worlds he created: it was with him. Also Rocket made things, too. He literally "perfected" the man's creations where he himself couldn't. Which is why he was after Rocket the whole movie and blind to his other creations' successes. Lastly, I think the movie suggests during their meeting that the Sovereign had help from the High Evolutionary. Even though the ending of the previous movie suggested she did it on her own? I'm a little confused on that. Maybe I misread the scene, but it feels like a soft retcon.

Guardians is also the only trilogy where every movie is great. Iron man 2 and 3 are much weaker compared to 1. Thor 2 was bad, Captain America CW isn't much of a Cap movie and while it has some great moments as a full package it's not that good.

@@Arjay404 exactly, they delivered consistently with each installment. Where other trilogies had at least one or two duds.. or at least not of the same quality.

It truly amazes me how this movie was such a perfect conclusion to the Guardians trilogy and gave every character a satisfying arc that although might be the end of their story, still leaves the door open to new stories to be told for new members. James Gunn truly achieved something incredible with this trilogy and these characters and I cannot wait to see what he does with the new DCU. James Gunn is also going to do a phenomenal job with his take on Superman especially.

His DCU slate so far has already captivated me since it shows projects for obscure characters like Booster Gold, the Authority, Swamp Thing etc...as well as more popular characters like Superman Legacy, Batman Brave and The Bold, The Lanterns etc... It really seems their finally taking real initiative with DC comics and hopefully in the very near future audiences will finally see why DC is special

Somewhat satisfying for Drax and Nebula as they kinda got a new purpose. Not that great for the others. Nothing's changed for Groot and Rocket. So that's kinda back to square one. Star-Lord having to leave the team just to see his grandpa is dumb. Nothing justifies that, he got access to spaceships and can come and go as he wants. Gamora has been out of character the whole movie. She's not the girl who fell in love with Quill, okay, but there's no reason for her to be that bitch we were shown. Not joining the Gardians is a thing but becomming a space-pirate is totally something else. And Mantis on her own "because she always did what Ego then the Guardians wanted" is out of character as well. It was her decision to go against Ego and already find meaning in her life by joining the Guardians. That's just the writers and producers struggling with how to cut the character off and coming up with nonsense out of nowhere. So, yeah, the movie has its good moments. Some funny, some emotional. But, overall, when replaced in the continuity, not that good (to avoid saying pretty bad).

Towards the End when Groot says "I Love You Guys" it's actually a way of saying that we have been with Groot for so long that we started to understand him. It's a nice touch to the movie

The CGI for the animals in this is simply astounding, at no point do you ever not believe they are real and credible characters.

Chris Pratt is such a great actor. I actually felt the sadness when he screamed when rocket flatlined.

Broke my fucking hurt learning Rocket's first words was "Hurts" And the reference to Michelangelo's "Creation of Adam" to literally create Adam Warlock as a good character at the end was awesome.

If Gunn can make a Superman movie with this much heart then he deserves the job.

I've loved Rocket Raccoon since the 2008 run of the Guardians comics, so I absolutely loved that he finally used his full name. Their uniforms in this are from that run too, and I've been wanting that since the first movie!

Fun fact: The actor for the High Evolutionary is actually shorter than the Sovereign Queen. In real life even without the boots she is 6'3

Now you know why Rocket kept wanting certain mechanical parts from ppl. Those parts reminded him of his friends

I knew what would be happening in this movie, so I was able to keep it together for the most part... but the moment that made me cry, was Nebula crying of relief that Rocket was alive.. seeing someone, who shows basically no emotion, actually break always hits me in the feels

During Vol. 2 and the Blip, Nebula and Rocket had plenty of time to bond. In the Holiday Special she drew her weapon on Kevin Bacon when Rocket got mad, while everyone else tried to prevent the fight from escalating. Plus she got him Bucky's arm as a gift. Sure she was off planet when he made the comment, but we'll let it slide.

There's only one thing that gets you more than a movie with animals in it Nat, and that's a movie with baby animals in it 😭 Watching this one with you was a rollercoaster of emotions. Thankfully you had tissues 🦝

"This story has been yours all along, you just didnt know it."... In otherwords, all three of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies were leading up to Rockets backstory. All movies were about him.❤

The dance party at the end was pure emotional blast. This was a great movie to end one of the MUC best trilogies.

As a lover of animals, this movie made me cry so hard. As soon as you posted this, I knew: "Ah fuck. Natalie is gonna have a breakdown"

To answer the question about Groot at the end, it was us finally understanding what he's saying. They kept mentioning it when Gamora couldn't understand, so we'd remember, but not everyone got it 😅

And just a bit before that Gamora realized that she could understand him. She was invited into the family, even if she returned to her other Ravager family.

*3 seconds in* "Noooo are they gonna give me Rockets backstory? I cant handle that" That has to be some kind of record lol I love Nebulas reaction when she sees all the kids "Oh piss off" because she already knows EXACTLY what it means and what they need to do.

My sister couldn't make it past Rocket's backstory like, what, 15 minutes in. And I really don't blame her. This movie took me on a ride. It was heavy, it was emotional, but man it was fun too! If this was the last time we see them, this was the best finale they've could have gotten. (And it's not even over yet!)

This video just landed at the perfect time! Sat in in the sun having a drink and your reactions are always a fun watch, keep up the lovely content Nat!!

This is probably my first time seeing Natalie laugh hysterically in the middle of crying... right when Rocket says "I'm not a racoon".

I went back and forth between crying and laughing so many times with this movie that I was completely exhausted when it was over. Go take a nap, Nat. You earned it this time. :)

I really love the "I love you guys" we hear from Groot. To me I take it as we, the audience, have spent enough time with him that we can now understand what hes saying, just like the rest of the Guardians can.

Peter letting go of Gamora and allowing her to be her own unique person was the healthiest thing I've seen in movies in years. The "romance" most writers use as a trope is really dysfunctional co-dedpendence where "they can't live without one another". Real love is being a complete individual, allowing the other person to be one too. That's what happened with Gamora and Peter at the end. They both went off to be complete individuals. If they meet up in the future, it will be healthy and positive instead of Peter simping and obsessing over a woman he fantasizes about, but isn't the Gamora in his life... and Gamora being repulsed by that.

i’ve never been someone to cry watching films, maybe tear up but never cry. But the scene with rocket and the baby raccoons and him finally knowing what he is had me in my feels

Volume 3 is my favorite of the three movies. Getting Rocket's backstory was fantastic, and heartbreaking. This movie pulls every emotional string and pushes every button. It was the first movie I saw at the cinema post-pandemic, and I loved it.

It’s probably my favourite MCU movie in general, at least solid top 3. Expertly made.

There is an almost throwaway line when the High Evolutionary is asking Rocket about how he knew how to fix the project. They mention he was interrupting his treatments, and he was looking very frail and unable to stand. The High Evolutionary was also evolving himself to help him become smarter and finish his creation - which is why he was so obsessed with Rocket's brain. In addition to adding creativity to the children, he wanted to perfect his own evolution - and thereby remain superior to all of his creations - and the serendipitous genius of Rocket was totally unexpected; he needed that for himself. Unlike Thanos, who had the clear outcome of randomly removing half of all life to make the rest better off, H.E. would keep tinkering and "evolving", perhaps forever. As his awareness keeps expanding, he would continue to redefine "perfect" and have to keep trying again and again. His own modifications made him no longer able to connect with anything else except as subjects for his experiments.

i love what you wrote. brilliant! there is quite a funny part where the he's apparently searching all over for Rocket, even though it's obvious where he will be, in his cage. the HE's, "almost childlike, "hello," to Rocket when he sees him, shows that he is still astonished at the things he has created, until the old he returns into him to mess things up again.

god, i fucking love this film. i knew i was gonna love this video as well because you’re just as emotional as me, i literally BAWLED through the entire movie + the three reaction videos after that, i’m not even exaggerating :) the guardians splitting up and doing their own thing made me weep harder, it reminded me of losing your friends in real life because life goes on, you know? (also haven’t been able to listen to “dog days are over” without crying since the premiere rip)

I was eager to hear your take on Rocket’s detailed backstory after watching the film myself. Your perspective on Gamora’s evolution added to my appreciation of her journey. The concept of the “New World” by the evil creator had me intrigued, and your discussion shed new light on it for me. Rocket is my favorite character ever since the beginning. The line “we’re gonna be rich” and then it cuts to groot drink water from a fountain, cracked me up. This one was really emotional for me and I loved it!!

This one wrecked me pretty well, too... and I watched it on the plane to England last month XD Fun fact that I learned: James Gunn initially wasn't interested in Guardians of the Galaxy, because they just didn't seem like compelling characters to him. However, when he really started thinking about them, and clicked with Rocket, he understood that while, yes, Peter is the main character from a bigger MCU picture, the heart of the series was going to be Rocket, and he couldn't have been more right about that. I love what he's done with the character, and the arc that he's been through, even if he had to emotionally destroy us to achieve that.

Loved this movie was a perfect sendoff for the guardians

After seeing this I cannot flipping WAIT for what James Gunn is gonna do with Superman! I used to think Captain America had the perfect Marvel trilogy, but Guardians is up there as well! I’ve been a Rocket Raccoon fan since the ‘80s, back when he was this super-obscure character no one knew about… hah :) It’s so insane & amazing that he’s center stage now, onscreen in big-budget movies! Gaaah… This movie hit me so hard. LOVED it.

The CinemaWins guy made a really interesting point about Drax. He speaks a language that Mantis says isn't in their translators, so what if we were wrong this whole time about him being a little dumb? What if he's just been speaking his second language this whole time and he's actually smarter than he appears? Maybe his vocabulary is just too limited to express himself so he comes across as simple.

And they all think Drax is an idiot? Remember when in the first GOTG movie, there was a scene right before Gamora called Drax a princess, Drax was holding a Orb (Infinity Power Stone) and says to Star Lord and Gamora, Lets use this as a weapon against Ronan, later on they did use it against Ronan in the climatic scene. This goes to show you Drax is the one with 100% plan, im surprised nobody picked this up and not even IMDb trivia

I've seen GotG3 three times... and I've cried every single time. Such a wonderful film.

Bradley Cooper once mentioned that he took inspiration for his character's voice, Rocket, from Joe Pesci's memorable role as Tommy in "Goodfellas." You know, the kind of guy with a quick fuse and a liking for a little trigger-happy action

I get why Peter's rescue by Adam was so they could recreate Davinci's Creation of Adam, and as you say, bring him into the Guardians. But I agree it should have been Gamora - mirroring Peter's sacrifice in the first film. They could have still gone their own way but it would have resolved their relationship a bit better.

James Gunn played my heart like a fiddle in this film. Absolutely adore it

No matter what people think of this movie, High Evolutionary was a Bad MFer, and I'll love to see him again. Dude was essentially creating entire races, The Sovereign, and more, and we Need to see more of his past deeds. I'll never forget watching Guardians 1 at cinemas, completely oblivious to this group and their origins, even though I was a Marvel fan, and being totally blown away in just the first 10mins.

@@pooty195 I dont think he was a "joke". He just isnt a cosmically powerful being like Thanos. He is an incredibly smart and resourceful man. So he was caught off guard and then got dogpiled on. I dont think he needed some Endgame level fight.

In a deleted scene, he was shown to still be alive but imprisoned at Knowhere by Rocket. So, idk if he's still canonically alive or not, but it's still possible for him to make an appearance in the future

@jamesburgess2k They carry him off the exploding ship in the end of the movie when they’re freeing all the animals. They don’t focus on it but drax has him over his shoulders. There would have been no point in sparing him earlier if they were just going to leave him on the ship to die.

I always enjoy your heart as we watch these films with you. So many of us feel the same about animals and they absolutely emotionally manipulated us, but it was beautifully done! Thanks, Nat, for another great reaction!!

This was a practically perfect conclusion to the trilogy. Every member of the Guardians has got some kind of satisfying conclusion to their arcs, from Nebula being able to express emotion to Peter returning to Earth to Drax finally dancing (with his adopted children!) and of course, Rocket accepting his identity as a raccoon (and much more!). And then there's the second layer of the director James Gunn having written himself into the character of Rocket, who was 'made' by an amoral corporation chasing a vision of perfection; who was willing to use him and discard him because he wasn't perfect; and finally accepting himself after years of growth, accepting a new position as Captain. This film is so personal it hurts. I can't wait to see what Gunn does with Superman. Superman: Legacy is my number one most-anticipated movie, and if there's anyone that can give the character the love and respect he deserves, it's him.

I love Gamora's arc where she starts off terrified of facing the High Evolutionary to being so horrified by what he has done that she knows he needs to be stopped

31:28 - I loved this moment. It's subtle, but I'm convinced the movie is telling us that we, the audience, now understand Groot.

The whole movie they talk about how the closer you get to Groot the easier it is to understand him, so I like to think that moment at the end represents the audience making it to that point too.

It’s wild how many people think Baby/Teen/Buff Groot is the same individual as Gotg 1 Groot. They’re two different people, new Groot is essentially his son/clone. All of his memories are new, his experiences are his own, his body is different too. Groot died at the end of Gotg, he legitimately sacrificed himself and never came back… he just left enough for Rocket to grow a son/clone from his clipping that survived… kinda like if Deadpool blew up and someone saved a finger and grew it into a whole new person. Fun fact/theory: I believe this is why Stormbreaker is so sassy and “alive” in Love and Thunder. The same way Vision is a living amalgam of Thor, Jarvis, the Mind Stone, Tony, Ultron… etc.. Stormbreaker is a “living” mixture of magical Uru metal that is known to have a sort of “will” or personality, the living magic of the Odin/Thor Force, Groot/Floral Collosi living plant material. We know that the Arm is alive because it grows new roots when Thor plants it.. I believe that when he planted the axe, he sort of birthed a new living being in the shape of an axe with a personality and will of its own. It even kinda has the sass and attitude that Baby/Kid Groot had. I believe one day in the future it could literally grow into a whole new Groot with an axe attached to his arm… haha This isn’t even a theory really, because everything is shown in the movie. We see that it’s alive and growing new roots, we see it think and act on its own and even get offended, and we know that these sorts of amalgamation life forms are possible, because Vision is an obvious example and I think there are more…

I knew this was going to wreck you, but I like how you began with no tissue box nearby but ran for it, stumbling- good call! This was probably the most emotional GoTG film, and of course all the animals to tug your heartstrings. It really had a different feel then the other movies, but it was great to see Rocket's backstory! I'm glad the end had you laughing!

I love the fact that since the MCU has confirmed that pretty much all afterlives exist in some capacity that Lyla and the others genuinely are at peace in the Sky

Not just because it's well written, acted, and directed... but because it wasn't made specifically to help set up or explain the future of the MCU. Which is something I'm sure we're all tired of seeing... because for some reason Marvel just doesn't know what to do anymore.
