Soldiers know the deep sadness that lies in the battlefield. And they deserve my respect for that. Of course I mean it when they face an organized army, not when soldiers have colonial duties and face armed civilians wearing sandals, or attack unarmed civilians. Colonial soldiers do not have my respect.

A few things for you and other first time viewers. 1. Nearly every shot in the movie, was practical. All the crazy shit you see, actually was happening. 2. The Doof Wagon (the flaming guitar guy) was actually playing guitar, and those speakers and drums were real. They were actually hearing that to some extent in the moment. 3. Immortan Joe, played by Hugh Keays-Byrne, also played the the villain Toe-Cutter in the very first Mad Max movie. This is one of the most well directed movies I've ever watched. My personal favorite scene and favorite score is when Max and Furiosa are Fighting together in the canyon in union. One of my favorite action sequences of all time, their teamwork is so expertly choreographed.

The Golden Rule is generally misunderstood as "Be kind to others" without any actual obligation to the receiving party, but in the hope that they will repay your kindness with the same. And while that may be true, it is not the whole story. You see, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" is not currently interpreted as a rule as much as an axiom. The difference being that a rule must be obeyed, an axiom is merely a premise that is accepted as true. When someone repays your kindness with cruelty are they breaking the Golden Rule? No. If you believe that The Golden Rule is in fact a rule then they are telling you how they want to be treated. It does not matter if they are unaware of The Golden Rule, because you and only you get to decide how to react. By showing cruelty they are in fact giving you permission to return that cruelty in kind according to the rule. I don't believe that it obligates you to do the same however. You may choose to continue to show kindness in the face of their cruelty, to turn the other cheek for whatever reason, but you are not morally obligated to do so. That is the flip side of The Golden Rule, the part nobody ever talks about. If an enemy throws rocks at you, you are morally justified under the rule in picking up those rocks and throwing them back, but you are not obligated to do so. If however you decided to throw back hand grenades instead of rocks you would be telling your enemy that you want to escalate the hostility, which would allow them to do the same, and in most cases I'm guessing that would probably not be a wise thing to do. After all, we're not talking about revenge here, we're talking about reciprocity. One is proportional and morally justified, it facilitates accountability. The other not so much. To quote Yes-Man from Fallout New Vegas, "We have options!" Let's not limit them.

So the reason why the people in the swamp were mourning Jack alongside the crew that escaped the Black Pearl was because Jack, before captaining the Black Pearl as we know it, was contracted by Beckett to transport cargo, this cargo being slaves. Jack, following his good conscious, released these slaves, supposedly leading to them inhabiting the swampland surrounding Tia Dalma's hut. Then obviously this lead to Jack being branded a Pirate as a result, the Pearl being sunk, being raised back by Jones for thirteen years, Barbossa's mutiny and then began the trilogy.

I’m late to this party, but… Natalie keeps saying Gotham was doing better. She and, quite honestly, so many missed that the Dent Act was the key reason Gotham did better … and it was based on Batman taking the fall for Two-Face’s crimes and Gordon helping covering it up. Had Dent’s crimes as Two-Face became public knowledge long before Bane revealed it, Gotham wouldn’t have experienced that time of peace. Hence why Ra’s said their “victory was based on a lie”. This is why some folks do believe Joker was the only villain in the Dark Knight trilogy who came close to actually winning, and, in some ways, he DID win.

17:44 - The sphere was going to roll out while the door shut if he didn't hold it in. But he couldn't stay there or he'd be crushed. So he fell out once the door was far enough shut for the sphere to keep from rolling out.

2:11 Considering that Rocket League has completely insane reality-defying laws of physics, the only time that could've been replicated in the Cars universe was during the timeframe in which Cars 2 occurred.

If this ever rereleases, I HIGHLY recommend seeing it in theaters on Dbox (shaking seat). I saw it that way and it was an experience! Your seat vibrates as if your in the drivers seat and as the car shifts gears your seat slightly rises. It was amazing! Definitely worth the $18.

One thing that's in the director's cut but not in the theatrical one: the T1000 was damaged after being frozen and shattered. He couldn't control his mimicry. That's why he tortured Sarah to get her to call John. He didn't trust his ability to imitate her. Sure enough, John saw through his imitation due to his feet being wrong. It's important to know the T1000 wasn't just being sadistic with Sarah. It had a reason.
