For me I’ve always selected GE cooking appliances over Whirlpool ranges. Refrigerators have often been a toss up but I’ve usually selected Whirlpools due to efficiency. I’ve never liked any GE dishwasher that I’ve had and always quickly replaced them with either a Whirlpool, Kitchenaid or Maytag. I’ve always preferred Whirlpool laundry to Ge laundry and still prefer Whirlpool front loaders but if I was in the current market for a new top loader in the mainstream price range I’d select from the current GE lineup hands down. It doesn’t take a year and a half for it to fill up, it actually agitates and turns over and they ain’t hard to look at either. I’d like to see a demonstration of one of the new direct drive models. Good work GE. Thanks for the video Kirk.

My folks used to have a GE washer model exactly like this one at my previous house, I agree about the tub capacity, the 4.5 ft tub is a super heavy durable capacity. It can hold a lot, Now we have a Maytag washer at our current house plus the dryer matching set, it’s alright but I’d prefer this model and dryer matching set for my preference.

Just bought mine for $189.00 at Lowes. It was a return that had a leaky water valve. Lowes sent it out and fixed it and after it returned and sat on the floor as a reduced model for three weeks the price kept dropping every week until I came along. I saw it marked down from $729.00 to $189.00 and couldn't believe it. Seems too good to be true!!! I have 30 days to return as it has no manufacture warranty now after it was returned by someone else and repaired by Lowes. I will say I am worried it will be a lemon and I'm watching it like a hawk during every load but for that price, I guess I cant complain. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

When it's 3years old and it won't drain and spin you will need to replace the lid lock switch. Easy to do. OEM parts are better around 40 bucks for THE switch.

My GE GTW465ASNWW just delivered yesterday. Did 2 loads. Try the deep fill...filled up a little more of water even though I only set the dial to Medium water level. It works well as indicated in the user manual. However, when it came to wash-drain or rinse drain.. the noise level was very loud, sounds like something was banging inside. The washer moved when the spin cycle started. I had to move it back when the washing cycle was all done. Anyone experience the washer moves? I didn't notice the movement in the video. Is there something that I can do to prevent the movement of the washer? Anyone purchased Lowe's protection plan? I think it's $129 for 5 years. Is it worth it? Can the washer last at least 5 years? Appreciate all your feedback and responses.
