This one looks like it CAN wash clothes, not just swish around and barely turn them over. Not a bad washer for the budget minded consumer.

Yup, turnover is very effective.

I just looked back on some prior tests. This machine agitates a 180* turn where the Maytag and WhirlRopAna machine spin 360*. If they placed an agitator with humps as tall as thes and who knows, added a modicom of water, they might have something.

I have a similar model from over 4 years ago. It never puts in enough water. I have a hose on the side to fill it all the way up, covering g have the top fin of the agitator. It’s got a tendency of walking across the garage as well when a load is unbalanced. Surprised that it hasn’t ripped the hose from the wall. Going my tag commercial grade next time

Interesting. Set to"super" with no deep fill option on this model. that's a nice amount of water. I hope the next model of the GE with Deep fill option also does this on"super".

How does the delicate cycle wash? Does it have a gentle wash action or does it use one speed for all cycles

Decent machine and rollover just wish the fill water pressure was stronger and filled faster ... The rain shower fill is too slow and makes the cycle longer to me.

True. I also don’t like the hanging suspension, I like having the suspensions on the bottom instead of the top and I also prefer mechanical controls generally instead of electronics

My washer is broke and I don’t know how to fix it so we just bought the top of the washer. Why did you put soapy water in the fabric softener dispenser? You just added soap to the rinse cycle.

you’re suppose to add fabric softener or any additive during the rinse cycle. it says it on every bottle and that’s why there’s the “deep rinse” selection.

The center knob has light, medium and heavy settings. What do they do exactly? I have a GE washer with 3 knobs. The center one has light, medium and heavy for both whites and color cycles. However, the left knob says Soil Level: very light, light, medium and heavy. The manual is useless.

If you can, try using the same soil level for a specific load, such as socks and underwear, but change the center knob to heavy medium or light and see if it changes the amount of time it spends WASHING. Then maybe do vice versa and use a different soil level but keep the center knob at either heavy medium or light. For washers that don’t have a separate knob for soil level I assume the heavy medium light options are meant to substitute that knob. Soil level just tells the washer how long the wash portion of the cycle should last. Obviously higher soil equals longer wash time and lower soil means less wash time.

I can’t stand the sound of the agitation

I bought the 4.5 cu in. But what’s the use of having more capacity if I don’t get the full tube like this cheaper model. I believe this cheaper model is not HE correct? I think that was my problem. My HE will not fill the tub. I think because I’m in CA and we have water issue and they can’t sell washers that fill to the rim. In TX I believe you don’t have those regulations so you get a full tub all the time. Maybe I should by one from TX and ship to CA.

Whites i think is optimized for use with bleach, and for colors, idk.

I cannot quite remember the wash action of this washer. This agitator seems to create turbulent water action to clean the clothes instead of the turn over action like the old school agitators. I remember this washer splashing water on the camera lens.

I would have done this on hot and precise fill-autofill. No need for high fill if not for large items. It the machine can't cope with auto, then let the truth come out. The noise of this machine is rather intolerable.
