GTI Radiator Replacement MK5
A guide to the steps needed to change a radiator in a MK5 GTI with the FSI engine BPY code. Not an exact step by step but made for those who already know the basics for working in these cars. I replaced it with and OEM radiator from ECS tuning. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

I am really hoping mine is like this because on other videos I watched you have to take everything from the front off because the ac condenser bolts on to the front side of the radiator

Yeah. I’ve gotta get the radiator, ac and intercooler. Basically all the front end radiators. Been struggling where to find them
AC lines screw into a small bracket thats attarched to the radiator right?

I don’t remember but I tried to not mess with them unless is had to in order to move the core support enough.
I wonder if you can fix mines

Should be very similar if not identical.
You dont need to take the bumper off or take the headlights out

Correct! Easy job with front end in situ, takes about a hour total remove, replace & refill!
Where's the radiator thermostat? Not the thermostat housing. L

Thermostat is usually inside the thermostat housing lol

@@Ben-nx7yy there's is actually the thermostat housing plus two more thermostats. The inlet and outlet. Replacing the housing alone didn't fix my issue I had too replace the other two as well. This is for dsg cars anyway.
