I spent HOURS blocking the Mulholland drive to see the people screaming like crazy and bumping into each other, because they drove so fast and eventually exploding. I'm so disappointed now 😭

Let's be honest, the lack of fog in the definitive edition makes the whole world seems small and unreal in a bad way. I prefer the good old orange hue.

The original San Andreas has that atmosphere which I feel is one of it's main appeals The Definitive edition always looks cloudy where the OG has blue skies which make it feel vibrant and the dark feeling when it's raining.

@@huklo6331 sure original has low poly models, low resolution textures and all, but it still has hetter aesthetics despite of that. All these shallow bells and whistles and graphical "improvements" added to the "definitive" edition, makes the games look like shit, even if its 4k 60fps, shit is still shit.

I love that you are acknowledging the positive aspects of the DE even if there are a lot of negatives. Can't wait for the VR GTA SA videos you are going to make.

Heavy rain on foot in the definitive edition is not pretty. It's actually an eye sore. With that being said it's impressive to see how well the old game from 2004 holds up. Like holy shit Rockstar is always years ahead on its engineering. That's true for every major title they put out.

One of the most fun things to do was doing a blockade on the highway and seeing all the cars pile up and either the ai blows themselves up and causes fun explosions or you blow up the entire pile yourself which is always fun

True but it was a pain to drive on the highways cause those AIs changed lanes without warning and thus, ruined many races which included the highways. Also ruined some of my favorite cars while driving em on the highway.

Meh, knowing Grove Street Games (the team that Rockstar for some dumb reason delegated again the work to after their disasterous ports) they probably copied and pasted the old map, applied stock graphical effects from UE4, did not even bother fixing all the problems it caused, ported everything else from their stupid old ports, enhanced the textures with AI causing a lot of problems everywhere, and just delivered, basically all this would take 1 or 2 months at worst. No wonder how modders who actually know what they are doing would do better.

It's very jarring being able to see the entire map from above like that. For the time the game came out, that map was huge, and the atmospheric elements furthered that illusion. Seeing that variety of terrain in a tiny island surrounded by nothing as far as the eye can see is just very odd. Some things should just be left in the past and appreciated as it is.

Nah… I don’t believe that they should have left it alone. They should have put more time to code at least majority of what the original was lacking and then started with the quality… they could have kept the effects like the mist in the rain that makes the original so atmospheric. It’s quite disappointing to see how lazy they are… they could have made one of their games better than the originals but they just had to be lazy…

Because even if they hadn't screwed up the visuals, everything else has PS2 era animations. It's a weird contrast. Also, following up RDR 2, which has animations for absolutely everything, it's not a very good look. I would have liked to see more on that front.

That's not really a good comparison. At least Rockstar didn't release a teaser trailer for the definitive edition. And then make us all wait over 8 years for the actual game to come out. And then over all those years, they would build up so much hype for game through marketing, and make it seem like the second coming of Jesus Christ. Only for them to finally release it. And give us an underwhelming unplayable mess. So yeah, glitches aside. This is no where near the same thing.

The highway traffic accidents actually felt realistic considering if someone suddenly stops in the middle of the road in fast paced traffic a chain of accidents is bound to happen.

Basically it's like that in the real life, the flamethrower uses Napalm, that it's a highly flamable chemical that burns everything, just turns off when it gets dried by the heat.

Theres nothing game breaking, just play the game for yourself and im sure you'll find it enjoyable. The things ENXGMA compared are clearly cherry picked to make the OG look better, plus the OG isn't gone just play whichever one you prefer.

6:18 it is because of the high draw distance. The horizon can be seen, therefore the skybox and sea limits can be seen. It is also there in the original game, but it is masked by fog from the lower draw distance.

I noticed that in definitive edition cars don’t have their taillights on during night or bad weather. They are functioning only when you hit the breaks. Do you guys think it’s only bug and they will fix it or no ?

That’s what made the OG San Andreas fun for me I always got on the free way and stopped traffic and caused that traffic jam and had every one fight each for crashing into each other I would die laughing when some one would pull out a shovel from there car and start swinging at the person who crashed into them and I would eventually blow up a car and cause a chain reaction killing every one in the traffic jam 😆good times
