I played Liberty City Stories before i played GTA3. And was very disappointed when i realized that the 3rd island in GTA3 is barely used.

LCS uses Vice City's version of the engine, that's why you can shoot tires, bail out of vehicles, wear different outfits, ride motorcycles and fly helicopters. GTA III's engine was the very first version of it so it lacks many things. Being the first version has its perks though as GTA III is the only game where you can give the middle finger to people and blow them up to pieces (in the non-censored versions).

GTA 3 engine is also the only one to account for height when it comes to distance. That's why you can snipe Salvatore from the opposite rooftop in the OG. GTA 3 DE uses Vice City's engine under the hood, and you'll be spotted if you try to snipe Salvatore from the same place!

Though I played GTA 3 before LCS, I do prefer LCS to 3... graphics, logics, map & storyline, also Toni Cipriani is one of my favorite protagonists.

cant really compare graphics when the technology was more advanced with lcs giving them the capabilites for better graphics. best part about playing on pc is using graphics/FX mods in the originals. LCS is still underrated tho

Gta LCS for PS2 was the first GTA I ever owned so it's not like that for me, now I've played almost All the GTA games but this one is still special to me because it was pretty much the first GTA I ever played, besides a little bit of the PC version of vice city but I was a little kid and didn't know what I was doing at a friend's house

Gangs were way more violent in GTA 3 especially the Leone that would blow up your car if you drive near Saint Marks Other gangs like the Yakuzas,Triads & the Columbian Cartels were more hostile towards Claude than Tony

GTA3 is one of the hardest GTA games I've played. I also felt the mission structure was not very good. That being said, as the first 3D game it is very good, and I can see why so many people enjoy it because it revolutionised the GTA franchise in a way.

I like GTA 3, even though it's basically the last one I played. It had the most realistic touch with New York and simply doing killer jobs. But I also hate some parts of it, like the grenade throw, it was just awful. And a boat chase, too. Still, cool.

Agree GTA games should be on all platforms but I played GTA San Andreas on PC and it was mess by polished graphics and controls. My PS2 stopped to work and I cant imagine to play GTA LCS or San Andreas on PC. Definitely not same mood.

It's Toni Cipriani, not Tommy. And Claude is the only protagonist who can fly a plane in Liberty City. Toni can't fly planes, but can fly helicopter using tricks. And Niko can fly planes only by using planes mod.

You literally can't even fly a plane in Gta 3. Because Rockstar Games said in an interview that they set Gta 3's dodo/airplane mechanic as a car. That's why it's easier to drive the dodo like a car instead of flying it.

Great video as always, LCS is one of my absolute favourite games. I have a glitch in my version of the psp LCS. Towards the Callahan Bridge, there are pedestrians from Staunton Island, and I've seen a limousine in Chinatown and in Trenton, and sports cars from Staunton Island, ones that aren't available in Portland (Banshee). And I've been able to steal one of them, and now have it stored in the Portland safe house's garage. I've researched, but haven't found anything on google about this glitch. I'm not sure if this is meant to happen or not. It's kinda hard to explain. I have photos which I’m willing to share. It's an odd glitch but I love it

R* couldn't program bikes in time, so they used a silly excuse for the absence of bikes in 3. The American Road Safety for Everyone (A.R.S.E) suggested banning motorbikes coz they kill children which is another irony they created.

I remember when all these limits in gta 3 started going away in vice city and Sam Andreas. I didn’t play LCS but it looks like they used some of the QoL enhancements.

I think Tommy Vercetti from GTA Vice City & Toni Cipriani has the same physics. I wish in GTA 6 Rockstar would give us a heli pad that would save helicopters that we take. Some of you may say we already have that in the Vercetti mansion if Tommy killed Diaz. No, that was different that is an auto respawn helicopter on the roof. Funny the waters in GTA 3 were filled wih pollution but the water in Liberty City Stories are filled with chlorine.

Nice video always, i played gta 3 first after that i played gta liberty city stories and according to me gta liberty city stories is much better because it has bikes which are missing in gta 3 and Graphics looks nice in liberty city stories, maybe I'm wrong according to others perception but this is my personal judgement ❤❤❤❤

@@colaman8269 This. I'd honestly argue emulating any of the PS2 GTAs is both less glitchy/crashy, and less complicated than playing any of the PC ports, given how poor the PC ports are without mods/fixes, and how good PS2 emulation has gotten.

Bro, you were should to play the Ps2 version of Gta Liberty City Stories. The Psp version of Gta Liberty City Stories does not look good. Textures are worse in the Psp version. If you compare the Ps2 version of Gta 3 and the Ps2 version of Gta Liberty City Stories, Gta Liberty City Stories is better in character models (As you know, in Gta 3, all characters are blocky models. Including Claude. But in Liberty City Stories, all the characters were more realistic models and no longer made of blocks), and slightly better texture quality. Because the texture quality in Gta 3 was pretty terrible. Also, for this reason, car license plates (blurry) can't be read in Gta 3. But it is read in Liberty City Stories.

LCS art style looks better to me

I played VCS years before even being aware of LCS, which I'm currently playing for the 1st playthrough on PS2, and although VCS was very fun and brought me back to Vice City, I have to say LCS is the better of the 2 IMO. Just not the radio, VCS has probably the third best radio, after VC and then SA.

I played Chinatown wars years before I knew about Vcs and lcs back when I was a kid lol I was amazed by what the psp could do and still today replaying them on my psp still stunning as I remember vcs very vibrant on psp thought just a bit blurry but not a deal breaker or unplayable in any way just sometimes if there’s a lot going on screen like cars and explosions the fps does tank heavy

Claude is better than toni. Claude never bail out the car bcos he knows this will break his bones, just like real life.

No he used ppsspp emulator (pc version) to record gta lcs 's psp version.

To this day its amazing they made improvemnets and a new story to a mobile console game. Most devekopers would have just done a downscaled port back then.

LCS looks better by far. Then again, I am biased since it's my favorite GTA game.
