This comparison doesn’t even make any sense. And police isn’t private security. If you don’t want a bollard, feel free to pay for private security to stand guard. See how much that runs.

Got my f150 stolen just last week with over 15k worth of tools that I’ve accumulated over the the years with hard work . Now it’s all gone … I also see a lot of people hating on the police but they are powerless as well. These low life car thief gets caught and within a month they r out and stealing again .. we need more strict penalties and punishment for these acts ..

Sorry folks...we got this all wrong. Lets do what we did with drinkin n drivin. Harsh penalties is whats needed! Minimum mandatory for stealing a car= 5yrs and lifetime driving ban. Minimum mandatory for car jackin = 15yrs in addition to the 5 for stealin and lifetime driving ban! Write to the Minister of Justice, Ontario attorney General.

It will be fun dealing with them in the winter.

car thiefs just use external fuel supply. The real solution is to discard car, eat the bugs and live in 15 min city. This is why you face this problem and the police does nothing.

Real bollards are solid steel and are dug 20 feet into the ground with concrete poured around it. They designed to be able to withstand an 18 wheeler semi truck smashing into them at highway speeds. Any "bollard" that can be pulled down with a pickup truck and some chains is a scam.
