GSG MP40 Clone (Better than you'd think?)

Ғылым және технология

Oh hey there folks,
Did a few tests with the ATI GSG MP40 (lots of acronyms), and I have nothing but good things to report. Price is reasonable for what you're getting, it's not a piece of junk, if that is what you're wondering. The drawbacks would be if you're looking for an actual MP40, this isn't it. However, if you're looking for a plinker, something fun, or just something to look at, this GSG comes with only the highest of recommendations. Hope y'all enjoy!
Kind Regards,
The Hippie Gunner

Great video man! It was great meeting ya at IV8888 this weekend. I have one of these as well and I modded the trigger bar a little bit to get rid of the massive amount of travel the trigger has and I ended up welding the charging handle into the bolt and cutting charging handle slot all the way to the back of the upper so you can pull the bolt out in one piece.

Absolutely man, same too you! I hadn’t adjusted anything in mine, not even the factory wobbly sights. Was pretty cool seeing the real thing at IV8888! I like the bolt idea, makes it a whole lot easier. I’d love to do a cool project with it since they don’t exactly break the bank, but my methods are to look at it until the muse grants me with an idea lol

@@TheHippieGunner Man I was so stoked to shoot the real one at IV8888. Probably the only time I'll get the chance to! My trigger has so much travel it was insane lol. I couldn't not so something about it 🤣. And I'm excited to see if you come up with a cool project for it!

Nice gun, just wondering why the welded over disks are missing at the rear of the gun. Are you planning adding a stock or brace to the gun?

Just a heads up, since this is not an open bolt design, you will have to work the charging handle before you release a mag. Just like how you do it with a MP5. Pull the bolt back and open, drop the mag, insert new mag and HK slap it.

It's just a little bit harder to insert a full mag with a closed bolt. But say you had one in the chamber and wanted to pop in a full mag. You wouldn't have to charge the bolt and unchamber that round to put your mag in.
