Seriously, this is very good. Sure it sounds like a B side of Spiritual Healing, but I don't get why people would be pissed at this? I mean, I'd take a B side Human, B side Symbolic, B side everything. I'll even take the C, D, E and F sides, bring it. It's not a rip off, it's a tribute and a pretty damn good one at that. I love it. I love this band.

Awesome band! Saw DEATH in 1990, and this band certainly worships at the Schuldiner altar.

Their whole musical career is such a great tribute to Death ! Absolutely love it !

I love it as much as I love Death's third album, and today I feel like I'm 15 years old! Thank you Gruesome!!!

@@paolomath i prefer tribute bands that write new music as though the original band wrote it than just boringly play covers. Whats the fucking point of a cover band? So lame and requires no musican talent (other than being able to play an instrument). This is alot more creative. They make new songs that sound like death, that's awesome!

WOW, interesting read on band background, makes sense. Only today I discover Gruesome's link to Death. Chuck was and still is, and always will be one of my heroes in guitar and lyrical ability. The Visionary/Philosopher. Gruesome - your albums are totally immaculate and they do Chuck proud. Nice one Ed, James & Co. I'm gonna buy some of your CD's now to blast out in my car. Metal on Brothers and Sisters.

When a hero and legend dies his DEATH is not his/her end; Chuck and Death clearly inspired many excellent bands; including this one. Extremely similar to Spiritual Healing in many good ways. Great album, really brings the SPIRIT OF DEATH back to LIFE :) Top work Gentlemen :)

My thoughts exactly, lol. Spiritual Healing is one of my top 5 albums of all time :) Chuck was one amazing writer and we really saw him progress as an individual and as a writer as he grew, truly inspiring character that created timeless metal from the start. There would be no Death metal without Death; nothing like them at the start, Scream Bloody Gore and Leprosy set benchmarks. Total fan myself for 30+ years lol.

Think of a it as a "tribute" or carrying the torch. Most these musicians were Evil Chuck's peers.

If this band wanted to be reminiscent of the late, immortal DEATH, they succeeded! And now I've realised that the cover is reminiscent of Spiritual Healing heheh Very good work, southern brazilian hails

every second "new wave of old school thrash" imitates the big 4, every second atmospheric and occult black metal imitates Deathspell omega and Drudkh, every second raw black metal band imitates darkthrone, every second death metal band imitates Dismember and Entombed. Gruesome went on to make a new Death catalog, with the same style, but its not a rip off, its a tribute, like Bloodbath was a tribute to the whole Swedish death metal scene. Death will not record another album, so why not enjoy Gruesome?
