Danheim - Herja (Full Album 2018) - Viking War Songs

Музыка

Herja is roughly translated to "wage war" and is one of the two new albums by Danheim (2018).
Herja contains Viking War Songs and Epic Viking Battle Songs. In contrast to the Fridr album, Herja is based on a darker atmosphere and are inspired by the struggles, battles and hostile times of the Viking Age.

Viking music was also meant to get you in a trance state. The thing with true trance states is, it doesn't matter what mood they bring. What matters is what you do with that kind of mindset and freedom in your head.

I'm a norwegian currently listening to this after 13 godforsaken years of social isolation and depression, about to take my first (but not last) 6am jog. TIL KRIG, TIL VALHALL!! Update: It went incredibly well. Update v.2: 3 years in, still going upwards! There's been plenty of highs and lows, and progress to recovery is a slow and grueling process, but the value of the progress made is immeasurable. I haven't jogged every day or been very consistent with workouts, but I have always been determined to get better and reclaiming my life. It's a marathon, pace yourself, and don't give up!

this is spiritual it has nothing to do with all that bs before perfection +100 comes realization this music makes you experience a particular mind state that if you can relate to it consciously - then you are able to invoke it within self. this music does not joke around and its very serious/solemn/sober so even writing or reading the kind of comments that you find mostly in here is not compatible with its right mind state and doing so makes you feel not in tune.

This album reminds me of one of the most important day of my life I was 6 or 7, and upset because people and cousins kept on calling me "that white little one" (in the South Pacific, it signifies you're not like the others and you can't play with them) my mother saw I was angry and said "son, don't worry if people say you behave like a white person or that you don't belong to this land... there's a reason for their misunderstanding of your thoughts, words or acts... you are what you are, the way you were supposed to be... it wasn't easy for me neither... you have to know that one of your old man was Danish, which means that you have old Viking blood in your veins, which also means that you're different from those kids: that's normal... be proud... and get out of this room, go craft yourself games or toys" That day I understood... In a small Pacific Island, I was right to behave differently, look differently and see things differently because I had something only a few had: norse blood Now that my family became aware of this and also because of the Vikings series, they don't call my sisters and me the "whites" They call us "vikings" instead and we are proud Today, we are loved for what we really and deeply are Skål!

How does one identify a quality music? By genre? By author? By anything else? No. By the ability of the music to CHANGE ones mood. That is THE best and only metric that can be applied to a set of sounds in order to identify a simple thing: WILL such creation be called a masterpiece or a useless rubbish (pop music we call it). And? YES, Danheim is totally able to build a composition of sounds that changes the mood. Moreover, the atmosphere is 100% immersive. Thank you. Your products are of a proper quality. As always.

Savage ancestral energy flows through me as I listen to this making me feel more alive. The fact that music such as this can make me feel connected with my ancestors hardships shows how talented the producer of this music really is. Much better than all the mainstream music we have everywhere around us. Keep up the good work.

My father has told me many stories of where our last name comes from, he says our ancestors crossed the sea from the north by building boats to transport warriors and farmers to wage war on saxons in northern england. I feel so connected to my heritage and my ancestors when I listen to this music. He told me our history before when I was a child but now that I am much older I have grown more interested in understanding that way of life. I even have a tattoo scripted in elder futhark on my shoulder. Love this music it really brings out the Viking in me. thank you so much for putting this up!
