    i grow feverfew for pollinators and medicine, so my needs are different, but its great to know how different methods work! May i suggest that you can get a "bonus" sale by drying some of the feverfew leaves even if its from cuttings where the flowers didnt look good? they are in high demand for migraine medicine

    Fever few is so beautiful with it’s simply perfect tiny blooms. Here is self plants to the point of nearly invasive. I dig the little sprouts and plant them in outer landscapes. Winter is mild with sparse snowfall. I enjoy your videos . 🌻🐝

    I hope it helps! We can grow from seed fine BUT it's JUST SO SLOW! If you can get your first succession up from seed then take cuttings from it you'll find it so much quicker and easier from there on!

    I just rewatched this to remind myself before taking some cuttings but I was wondering about the double variety you have. In the video you say it’s the Baya variety but on highsun’s website it looks different so I wanted to double check which variety you grow because your one is so pretty.

    Could you please reply with the timestamp of where you mean in the video please! It helps me know exactly what you are referring to and I can answer your question correctly :). A timestamps is written in this format 00:00 so if it was at 2mins 20sec you’d write it like this 02:20. I can then click on that and it takes me exactly to where you are referring to in the video :)

    Yes that one right on your timestamp is Baya! Here is the link on Highsun www.highsunexpress.com/Matricaria-Baya-Pellets-p/2167-pell.htm (Not sure if that link will work in comments but copy paste it if not!).

    Hello from our farm in New Hampshire. I have always wanted to grow feverfew. In the past, I used a face moisturizer that contained feverfew. It did a fantastic job of keeping my skin clear of redness. Then the company discontinued my favorite cream. Have you ever tried making a face cream with the oil? I was thinking of using a shea butter for the base. I have heard that feverfew is good for headaches. Fortunately I rarely get them. Are there any other uses? Thank you. I look forward to following your channel. ~ Diane

    Hi Diane! Welcome to the Gardeness community! I haven’t made anything like that from the feverfew but I bet it smells amazing! Maybe I’ll look into it!

    Thanks for replying. Yes, Johnson & Johnson have put feverfew into some of their Aveeno face creams and cleansers for redness relief. I just don't know the %, but I will try a few drops into a standard face cream. I will try growing the plant this season.

    Hi Phaedra, any advice for growing feverfew in pots? Or is it relatively same same 😅 keen to pop some on my balcony but unsure if there’s anything I need to know!

    Hello! It’s pretty much the same! They grow great in pots, just keep them nicely watered (not soggy wet but don’t let them dry out for too long). They don’t bounce back like other plants if they go too far with being thirsty.

    It looks amazing! I’ve had feverfew in the ground that I grew from seed back at the start of winter (I’m in Qld) and it still hasn’t flowered! Except one plant weeks ago 😂 what months are you typically planting in?

    Please don't take this the wrong way. Even though you say your eye isn't sore, boy does it look like it does. I think you should be wearing your sunglasses more even on overcast days, I won't be offended. lol. Thanks for the tips, I'm hopeless at growing feverfew. I got the double seeds by mistake last year and it won't grow tall, but I think I will try doing some cuttings and see how they go in a different spot.

    It actually did get a bit sore with a headache behind my eye. Dr said that’s normal too 🤷🏼‍♀️. I almost always wear my sunnies! I can’t stand the sunlight in my eyes (or on my skin) but I do try take them off when I’m speaking on camera. We found the double grew much taller when grown from a cutting!!! There was so much extra info I wanted to squeeze into this video about it.

    How many plants do you have in your rows to get a good flush like that?

  • @phaedragardeness

    @phaedragardeness

    Hello! Our rows are 12mt x 1mt (around 40’ x 3.28’) and we will put in 16 plants per square metre. So around 200 plants for the row :)

    Oh poor sore eye do you try washing it with an eye wash to ease it. I just love Larkspur this year it’s the first time I’m growing it and it’s growing so well. Got a colour called Earl Grey in Larkspur and it is magical like a dusty rose. I see yours is doing well too. I start mine in winter containers (water bottles). I don’t grow feverfew I’m allergic to it.

    You are allergic to feverfew oh noooooooo! I would be so sad! Our feverfew self seeds now but I do sometimes wish I had more of the pinks. There is a really pretty one in there I’m leaving to go to seed - fingers crossed it grows more next year!
