The problem is my niche is something like, searching online for funny videos, memes, playing random funny games sometimes. It's more of just like stuff that would make lots of people laugh and it's more random so it's hard to just pinpoint one specific niche for myself.

Biggest takeaway: Combining low-competition keywords with high-searched keywords. I know that the best thing is to have keywords that are both low-competition & high-searched, but I haven't really heard of this combination approach before where you basically concatenate 2+ things together. On your "5 deadly mistakes" video, I mentioned that I'm transitioning towards doing more "series" based videos. One thing I was thinking about was that the series title can be a high-searched keyword while the individual episode title can be a low-competition keyword. My only concern is that if you combine both low-competition with high-competition, would it hurt your impression-to-clickthrough rate? Because the high-competition part will still be shown to everyone in that red ocean and presumably most of them won't click because they don't identify with the low-competition keyword part of the title.

My biggest takeaway, as per usual, is PAYING ATTENTION to the keywords that work. I definitely made vlog-style videos for our channel last year and then realized my keywords that I used "teaching English in Cambodia" etc. helped me leap to the top of the search results on KZread. It felt intuitive to continue making "how to" videos on the topic. I purchased your KZread for Bosses course a little while ago and only just realized how important this lesson was from the get go. After watching this video and purchasing your program, I've taken away to really double down on those keywords to continue ranking on the first place. Thank you as always!

So good and detailed! I have had a number of breakthrough videos over the years. Sometimes I successfully repeat the topic, but I appreciate you saying you can grow without a niche -- I make videos because I want to, not to be a slave to an algorithm/popularity/sensationalism. Also, I think a lot about the kind of audience a video will attract and whether I want to be serving that community or not. For example, I love to watch Law of Attraction videos to get motivated/put them on as background, but pretty sure I don't want to do that on my own channel because being a LoA coach/guru isn't a goal of mine. OTOH, would you recommend something like "6 ways LoA has helped me as an entrepreneur" (or as a musician, mom, whatever) as a potential breakthrough video without that meaning I have to then become a guru myself?

Yeah, I have been finding that some videos do way better than others. And I need to focus on doing those types of videos more because they actually work. The biggest takeaway from this video is using analytics to your advantage and actually taking in the information. Thank you for a awesome video Sunny !

I love how clear and precise your videos are! In this video you have me wondering if I should do two channels instaed of one or just focus on my most successful channel. So I have two niches, cake decorating and financial education for families. I started my channel way back in 2008. Over the years, my video 'how to bake a cake' was what you call a gateway video, one that took off like a rocket. It's my most successful one to date. When I started I was, am still am, way more passionate about financial education for kids and their parents then I am about cake decorating. A few years ago I got really sick and now have a physical disability that stops me from actually decorating cakes. So my focus really is the financial education one. For the past year I've been trying to figure out whether to change the direction of my channel, like you mention in this video, or to have two separate channels. As far as the algorithm goes, it makes more sense to have two separate channels but it may take a long time to build up that second channel. On top of that, I had set my kids up with sub-channels on my main channel and my channel also ranks for keywords like 'Barbie' (my daughter's videos) and 'sticky toys' (my son's videos). So yes, a mogpog of niches in one channel. Feeling lost. You mention in this video that you can change things up and follow the keywords that work well, you use your own as examples, but even though your breakthrough or gateway videos are slightly different to your youtube and instagram keywords, they are still in the entrepreneurship field. Any suggestions for people like me with really way out there like me what are all over the map from cakes, to dolls, to financial literacy to games and toys? Really appreciate any insight you may have. Thank-you Sunny for all of your amazing videos and tools. I'm loving this challenge. Really hope to win! :D

Thank you for making this video! My biggest takeaway is to mix in broad (more competitive) keywords with specific/narrowed down (less competitive) keyword phrases. I legit just applied this advice to a video I published last week. It was stuck at about 37 views/8 likes for it’s first few days. After updating my title with two less competitive keyword phrases (and updating the tags) the views/likes started jumping noticeably more quickly! This really did help/make a difference:)
