***********ROCKY CREEK HOMESTEAD****************
After battling Psoriasis for years, I discovered the power of quality food and its positive impact on my skin condition. This sparked my desire to raise my own quality food. So come along with our Family as we transition from urban living to small self sustaining family farm. Learn from both our successes and failures in hopes it may inspire others to try new things. We entered into this journey with no prior experience and hope to provide many laughs and learning experiences. We learned most of how to do what were doing from watching others and hope to be able to provide a similar learning opportunity to anyone else who may benefit from this. Thank you for coming along with us on this journey and we hope it is enjoyable for you and your family.

Stan, the garden is looking good...thanks for the tour! We got back from a few days in FL late last night and were walking around the gardens with the flashlight on our phones looking around to see how much growth we could find. It's always fun to see progress from our efforts of planting. You're right when you say it's all about learning from our gardens. It's never 100% success no matter how experienced you are whether you're growing vegetables or flowers. I liked your opening drone footage! Keep up the good work and, as always, stay safe!

Thanks. A few days away definitely can reveal some amazing changes in the garden. I hope y’all enjoyed your time away. I don’t know of too many people that complain about visiting Florida ☀️ 🌴

I’ve never tried them in stews 🤔. I’ve mostly just had fresh and pickled. I may need to try it one day. Thanks for sharing

I have started a pretty good strawberry patch. The little wild rabbit I think are getting into my strawberries. I need to centralize them together and put a fence around them.

Ah man. Slick little critters. We have several bunnies bouncing around, hopefully they don’t get into my patch

For slugs I scatter crushed egg shells. I had to do this in my strawberry patch. Seems to be working they don’t like sharp edges. 🐌+ 🥚 =🌱 🌱 🌱 🌱 😊

We’re not getting many. I think we’ve been able to pick about 5 😂. Far from any jam quantity that’s for sure. We’ve had an unusually warm winter and spring so I think that’s probably why.
