I hope to inspire you to both clear out your closets and to plant a cute little flower garden using your old hats as containers. It is easy - all you need is an old hat, a bunch of dirt, and a pack of flower starters.

I like your garden statues its like a zen atmosphere. Do the flowers have space for roots to grow. How long do you water your plants. How long do you water your vegetables. Whats the amount of time you water your vegetables 2 hours?

The hat space is not so big for the flower roots, but I compensate that by giving them enough food - I use fish emultion that all plants (and flowering plants especially) love. You don't need a lot to keep them healthy and happy. With watering you have to be "on your toes" with hats - they dry out easily in hot weather. I water mine twice a day (we are in the middle of hot California summer here). Watering time depends how many plants you have, how fast the soil dries out (it dries out faster in smaller containers), and how hot/dry is the weather. I have to water a LOT these days
