Grove Grinder sandwich shop feels like 'Granny's House'
Sometimes the tiniest sandwich shops make the biggest sandwiches. In this Zevely Zone, I went to Lemon Grove to enjoy lunch at the Grove Grinder.
Family owned since 1972, when you step into the Grove Grinder, the owner wants you to feel as if you're visiting Granny's house. "Make you feel like you are at home," said Sharon Jones (80). "Have you ever been to grandma's house? Grandma has a nice house with knick-knacks and all and all kinds of little things all around."

I loved how the man said " We're not messing around here, we're making sandwiches" LOL I wish everyone had that no BS attitude nowadays😂
Awesome place to eat sandwiches and to enjoy all of the antiques. Plus Sharon the owner is the best
That's one thing I love San Diego 😊

I’ll have 1/2 a sandwich for lunch, finish the second half for dinner! Best sandwiches in SD!!!!

I live 4 minutes from there and still haven't been. It's right by Mario's.
Last time I had that it smelled like armbit 💪
This place would feel so much more welcoming if they weren't blasting two TVs at once in that tiny little dining room.
