I really wish we had officially-licensed Group 5 content in AMS2. They have the relevant licenses--Nissan, GM, Porsche, BMW, etc. In fact, I'm quite surprised they don't have it as a featured class.

Yup I use the mod all the time. I actually prefer the modded content on ams2 to the og just cuz the cars aren't so slidey.

I like the FFB in Raceroom, needs a little more tweak than some. You can feel the suspension very well and the balance of the cars but not so much on the faster cars like GT3 and higher, the best of Raceroom is in the lower class cars like the new M2 the FWD and the GT4. It is still a good game to drive for general immersion, sounds, FFB and not so bad graphics even if it miss weather and day and night.

For anyone who doesn’t like the FFB: Even on a DD wheel, TURN UP THE MINIMUM FORCE TO 5%! It fixes everything.

I went back to raceroom recently to drive the last generation of the Daytona Prototype, since I missed it raceroom is a great game and it's pretty terrifically optimized - but the lack of weather and time features does hold it back quite a bit

I agree. I would love to see a new version of the game with time, weather, updated graphics and a few other fixes. But the base is solid.

@@SimRacing604 I really don't think it needs that much graphical work, maybe higher resolution liveries and a bit of smoothing here or there I honestly prefer its cleaner and more vibrant look to a lot of sims that strive for super realism and end up looking bland, like iracing or rfactor or looking a bit too busy, like pcars 2, ams2 and ACC It reminds me of when codemasters had that slick clean sharp vibrant look in Toca 2 and Toca 3, back when codemasters wasn't a disapointment

@@SimRacing604 I believe that they're (supposedly) working on a shader (graphics) update for RRE, but god only know if / when that'll actually release. My Reshade mod adds Unreal Engine 4 Tone Mapping and a small few other tweaks that make the game look quite modern, or at least not ancient. My demo vid in case anyone's interested: kzread.info/dash/bejne/jKqKxrWgeZu3qaQ.html But yeah, RRE was my go-to sim many years ago and got pushed towards the background over time, but I've just upgraded to a DD wheel-base (Fanatec GT 8Nm) and yesterday revisited the title ('23 German Porsche Cup around Raceroom Raceway National) and once I got the FFB dialled in I was hooked. The game still holds strong in terms of physics, FFB, sound design and fun, and despite its age the core "gameplay" is spot on. I'm very glad that you continue to shine a light on this worthy sim.

Chugging along. Takes forever with so few devs but it'll get there.

Raceroom is the only game which has so bad physics it makes these beast drive like GT4 cars. Besides AI is so bugged the AI is passing me on straight as if I wasn't there at 98 difficulty This try made me uninstall Raceroom once again, such a waste of time
