    One thing that might be worth mentioning is that when you are wearing the red ant armor, you can use the red ant hill as a base of sorts and luer in the more dangerous bugs and the red ants will fight them for you. I've tried it with ladie bugs, bees, stink bugs, bomb beatles, wolf and silk spiders so far nothing can survive. I usually use them as a meat shield and shoot arrows over the top to speed things along.

    Also you can use roof pieces to have the droplets flow in a direction I have a build I did where the clover roof pieces make the droplet flow on top of a row of containers and if the first one is full the droplet will roll along to the next one and fill that. It is a super useful build as a few of my ziplines go over it and I can see the droplet go into the roof piece funnel (there’s 10 containers under the funnel … 2 rows of 5 - back to back as you can clip containers into each other quite a bit)

    I love the small details you just random come across in this game where as soon as you find it you're like 'aaaaah come on, this would've saved me so much time'.. Grounded is honestly probably one of the most refreshing and enjoyable survival experiences I have ever had. It's not overly difficult and there's not just this looming thought of death the entire time. The one feature I believe the game is missing though is the ability to deconstruct weapons or armors for even a little bit of the investment back. I always find myself just trashing items or throwing them on the ground.

    Here's an extension of one you mentioned... pallet relocation. The reason for it snapping back to its starting location has to do with threat detection. If that little warning pops up, your pallet or anything else you're moving just gets deselected. A lot of people tend to falsely believe there's some sort of magical limit to how far you can take things. Not the case at all. So if you are using this method and you accidentally run into a wolf for instance, dropping the pallet immediately before its eyes glow red can save you a lot of headaches as long as you're in the right mind to back the spider away from the pallet so it doesn't destroy it in the heat of combat. Only mentioning this because for awhile I was under the same false impression that there was some distance limit and cringe to think how many seconds that have added up to hours at this point I have wasted dropping and picking it back up when I can clearly see the coast is clear and doing so was unnecessary.

    Actually noticed this the other day testing some things involving containing orb weavers. I had the orb in a mush enclosure and trying to build a walkway above when it would exit me from building everytime i was aggro to the orb. i feel like this is commonly mistaken. thank you for confirming this :) happy hunting friend! ps. i havent figured it out yet but, even though the orb was completely trapped, i walked away for a couple mins and heard it walking around in the grass. Went to check and sure enough, it was out as if it phased through the mush walls...

  • @zachary_smith84

    @zachary_smith84

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@invertedsun This is also a thing. They set a render setting awhile back in unreal to allow the bugs to phase through objects when they aren't being rendered by a player. Was done to help them path because they used to derp into grass when you tried to flee. It's also the main reason bugs phase into terrain. So yea, you managed to stumble into an even lesser known bug within the game. There are certain terrain object they have a harder time doing so with though, such as player built structures, which is why Milton's aphid/weevil trap continues to work without them walking through it when he's not looking directly at them. I have seen some interesting traps made out of this unintentionally intentional bug though back when basketball hoops were immune to damage to trap wolves into them. I hope that helps with the confusion. And good luck with your exploits in game too :)

    You actually can transfer a Stem pallet, while you yourself carry stems on the shoulder. So if you want to maximize your stems transfering, use Ant gear + Ant smoothie to get the maximum amount of stems you can carry on the shoulder. Move an empty Stem pallet to a location with lots of tree, then proceed to pile up the pallet and your character's back with stems. You would be able to bring nearly 25 stems per travel.

I don't usually catch it, but it was definitely a good way to get wolf spider parts before I knew about the one that naps between the roots of the oak tree. (I can't always figure out or get to a good high spot to shoot them much of anywhere else). I've had ants go against orb weavers and ladybugs. Easy ladybug parts - orb weavers are already pretty easy, but the distraction was good.

    #7 not only can you get that, but if you kill a few mites for the mystery maschine them make a stink bug get close to the ant hill, wait a bit then go and take the parts of the ants you can imideatly start with ant armor (will need a workbench for that, which requires you to make an axe but its also just picking up a few materials), use it to go into the anthill and get all 3 parts of the bee armor in there (you might wanna get a torch before entering, but it does only recuire a few materials), then go to the pond swim down to the sunken dino and get the bee stinger. Now you have full bee and ant armor as well as a bee stinger and larva sword by just killing a few mites at the start and picking up stuff

It charged to me but couldn't get past the grass wall barrier I built and I was able to keep shooting it from on top the leaf.

I'm mostly set up with ziplines to move them around these days, but this will be invaluable when starting new adventures! Assuming they don't nerf it.

    Unlimited crude rope pretty much ; grow a fiber in a garden patch and have some spinning wheels right beside it. Always save 1 or 2 fiber (depending on the amount of patches you have) but doesnt take long to grow. And if you have spoiled meat it will decrease the time it takes and also increases green thumb chance which each plot will give you anywhere from 4 fiber to 20

    not sure if its been said, but my tip is, the wolf spider at the egg sacks you showed, the one that sleeps under leaf, if you stand above it and shoot arrows, it 'bugs' out and cant get you. takes a lot of arrows starting out.. but early game it respawns every 3 days and is a great way to get the fangs for low risk.

    Here is how to RUN while holding 32 Grass planks at once (almost.. like 90% speed) pick up 8 planks (need full red ant armour) pick up a full 24 pallet of planks now the tricky part, your basically gonna put the pallet down and run past then turn round and grab it, then spin round (while still walking towards your destination) and place the pallet so u can now run again and repeat the process.. once you get a feel for the movements you can go almost as fast as if you were just running forward full speed with no pallet. I play on keyboard/mouse so im basically running forward at an angle and every so often ill spin back to grab the pallet then at this point you can only walk as you have a pallet in your hands but if you spin fast and place the pallet back infront of you then you almost dont stop running atall. also it looks cool and gives your brain somthing to do while doing the very tedious, long and usually much slower task of getting planks back to your base!

Still, some good tips for beginners and those new to the game. Have you been playing since the beginning? It seems that all the armors add some bonus when the set is full, but for some I don't understand what, because the name of the bonus can be unclear and it's not always easy to see the difference. The ladybug was healing you but I'm not so sure now, at least in wow mode. The spider is suppose to be a chaser bonus but I don't see what even if the baby spider avoid you it's not in accord with the name. Acorn I don't even understand the meaning of the name of the bonus and didn't notice anything.

    Another rope/grass planks tip or solution is to put the planks into a holder near a grinder station, and grind them up. You have to be holding them for the grinder to pick up on the planks. You get 5 fiber per plank and throw 5 in at a time. So x25 end result. Just have spinner and storage station close by cause you end up with too much rope and fiber in the end
