Ground Report: Who Will Jobless MGNREGA Workers in Haryana Vote For? | The Quint
This is a ground report from rural Haryana, where MGNREGA workers told us about the acute shortage of jobs and work through the MGREGA job guarantee scheme. Even though MGNREGA guarantees 100 days of paid, unskilled manual jobs, workers in Karnal district claimed that they did not get “even a single day’s work” in the last one year. Will this acute shortage of jobs amid rising prices influence people's voting decision in the Lok Sabha elections? Here's what we found.
