aw poor girl, she looks stressed out. you handled her so well when you moved her from the bath to the cage drier! minimal stress for her which is great! have the owners taken her to the vet to have any xrays or scans done? my trainer shared this with me: if a dog suddenly becomes aggressive or escalates to biting in response to being touched in a spot it likely means something stressful or painful happened in that area. if it's a response to pain, taking her to the vet would be an excellent idea to have any illnesses or injuries addressed. if the vet finds that they're unable to identify any illnesses or injuries, then seeking help from a dog behaviourist would be a wise next step. it could be anything! she may have had a negative experience as her collar was taken off or put on, or she may have injured herself while playing on her own or with another dog, the list goes on! wishing her owner the best of luck

the leash made into a harness was an excellent idea!! maybe there could be some way that her collar with her name tag could be adapted to a harness for her own comfort and safety (as you mentioned the owner isn't walking the dog anymore)

Don't think she was going to snap at you doing her nails. She was reacting to you jerking your hand away everytime you clipped a nail. Always good to be safe. Not criticizing what you did , just my thought on why she may have reacted. Get some Kevlar gloves.😊
