FaceCulture spoke with Daniel about needing some time off, moving out of the city, having to leave to come back, playing Jazz growing up, how he got into the band, the early live shows, gravitating away from acoustic music, not having a formula, feeling old, the pressure being off, being shocked that they did well, new music, living outside of big cities, Glass Hillside, Aquarian, having a more jazz sounding drum style, developing new styles, trying not to repeat themselves, less acoustic writing, and a lot more! Not sure if anyone gives a damn but if you guys are stoned like me atm then you can watch all the latest movies and series on Instaflixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf for the last couple of months xD

Precisely why GB is my fave. No formula. Their style is the definition of organic. I love their insistence on letting things play out as they will, of not letting a record company tell them what to record, and most of all their sheer talent and enjoyment of the craft of making music.

I have liked Daniel Rossen for years and why did I come across this priceless interview just now? KZread disappointed me instantly. Daniel Rossen came up with guitar riffs around drum parts because of course he can. Jazz Guitarist, Daniel Rossen, Something drew me to GB when I would hear them and I strongly believe DR is responsible for a the chord progression and time signature changes I've come to like and look forward to in GB. Top dude.

Daniel is a really good accomplished musician as well as the other members of the band and you could tell it by the quality of their composing and arrangements and by their live performances and it is definitely not something that you can take for granted from an indie band.
