I have a caucasian. Yes you can have them as a pet in your home. My dog is gentle, mild mannered and sleeps alot. He does protect the house but not to the extreme and he is easy to train. These dogs are loving and intelligent. He is GREAT with other dogs and off lead on the beach. The only time he has been aggressive was whe a pit bull attacked my other dog and it took a loooooong time to drag him away.

Hes not just a big dog. The body is perfectly proportioned. nice high hips and a bouncy gait, not labored at all. Shoulders are strong and chest is thick. His face is alert and expressive. I see you didnt crop the ears. If he was a working dog, it might be a good idea. Wonderful to look at. Well done

I have 2 big caucasian shepherds - one is 88kg, another 93kg. they are brothers 5 years old and both have cropped ears and tails, but I didn't crop them. they were cropped by breeder after they were born. in many countries including mine its illegal to crop dog's ears or tail and if authorities find out they will fine that person. and even though I wouldn't crop my dogs ears I think they look better with cropped ears. also you don't have to worry about frost or their ears getting torn off when they defend the property against predators.

We have one and he's a wonderful family dog!!! He a big dog , and yes he eats a lot and is VERY PROTECTIVE of our grandkids, You must have time for a dog like this!!! But is is a dog like NO OTHER!!!

I grew up with German Shepard’s and recently got a Caucasian x Carpathian who’s 6 months. Definitely need training classes and lots of Socialization

I have two one male 2.5 years old and a female puppy 7 months old this breed is no joke they have a very strong character , they have no fear so they have to respect you in order to obey you,that is very hard to achieve with no experience.

Я сам жил на Кавказе таких монстров невидел там в горах,это помесь какая-то цвет похож но по габаритам эти больше ,какие-то тюнингованын монстры чесно! Не знаю скем их скрешивают что такие гиганты получаются.

if its a puppy 4% of its weight.. if its an adult 2% of its weight..!!! General when they are adults they need 1.2 kgr per day..!!!

as far as they're shepherd dogs, they are very resistant and little "demanding". also, they don't and cannot eat too much because they have to work and getting fatter would diminish their fighting and protection abilities... friends of mine have these dogs and I may say that they eat less than any German shepherds or any medium-large size dogs.

Awesome dogs but people have to understand, these aren't for everyone. You have to train and work these dogs. They need space to roam. They are very protective and aggressive toward strangers. Buyer beware.

Sensible comment-these Dogs are for someone who lives in a rural area&can give them the adequate space they require..If a Dog like this is kept in a urban or inner City House.(they may well take car of his/her basic needs)and only has a average size Garden/back yard,the Law of averages being as they are,they will get free and something bad will happen..
