Not me having an existential crisis when you say, "It was really old! I mean, a lot of it dated back to the 90s" 😳 how dare you 😂😂 😧. ❤😊

🤣🤣🤣 I know. The 90s feels like a couple of years ago to me, but then I’m constantly reminded by people who were born in the 90s how old they are. 70s baby problems 🤣

I get so much inspiration from your videos, in fact I am going to create my own manifestation box using a book that I will glue the pages together, then cut the centers out to create the box. I am mashing together two of your ideas that you shared with us today. Thank you so much for sharing your art.

Thank you, I find your words supportive. I enjoy your videos because you are honest, unapologetic about what you believe in and your words are inspiring. 🙂 I also appreciate the random cat appearances. 😺

Thank you so much! I am very glad you enjoy my videos (and cat mayhem!). I think we all get caught up in what we see on social media etc, but forget the fact that what we see is the tip of the iceberg. Reality looks very different, and we forget that, right? I need to remember this myself, so I like to share these thoughts with others who might be feeling the same way I do 🫶 Thank you for being here with me 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Thank you so much for this very supportive comment. I’m glad you’re here for rambling, and to hear my thoughts! I am glad that you can remember that it’s ok to put projects aside. That your art absolutely should be fun, and unless you depend upon it for your income, there’s nothing helpful in putting pressure on yourself to complete things that you’re just not “feeling”!!! ❤️

The color book that's redundant... make it personal. Your memories, emotions, hope or fears that each color represents to you personally. Stuff that's not in traditional color magic correspondence lists 🤷🏻‍♀️ just an idea

Aaww thank you hon!!! Funny how we do things that start to feel like a chore when we were so enthusiastic about starting them!!! Humans are weird lol. But I’m so glad I wasn’t alone in dropping my gratitude journal.. I feel better!! I think it’s totally normal to have big projects that take years, and we need to be more patient with ourselves! I look forward to seeing your colour WotY book whenever it happens! I made quite a bit of progress on my Beltane pages, so will be doing a flip through hopefully sometime this month? Then I only have Litha to go. It’s going to be so weird (in a good way) to finish it!!

I have a book like your scraps of shadows book, where the paper is awful - it's hand made paper and I can't do anything with it, sadly. It won't even take pencil, let alone anything else. I might take the paper out and replace it with something better. I also bought a sari book ages ago and had issues with the paper but I was able to salvage it with watercolour and turned it into a little book of runes, but it's not great. It is a shame that the paper in the book is unusable because it was a gift. I have tried looking for a book journal to record my reading, thoughts about it, etc, and I struggle with finding one that I like because the pages are prefilled with questions about the book, book stats (book format, number of pages in the book, listing what you like about the book, rating, etc...) I find it's a waste because I don't really want to record stats about the book, or have write a formulaic review or be limited about what I want to say about the book - sometimes I might have a lot to say about it, other times I might not want to write anything at all, other than to record what I read and when. That might be the problem with the gratitude journal - you might find it easier to record those thoughts in a book that is blank and you can be creative about it. (I did start a book journal, but fell behind with it and have not written in it for over a year, but I've read quite a lot of books since then - I even started a tumblr blog for it but got out of the habit of posting about books in it. There are times when a difficulty arises, or something to distract me and then I don't go back to it. When I finally do remember about it, I want to restart it afresh rather than continue where I left off.)

Yes, I have found that some of the prettiest books have the worst paper!!! Your book journal sounds like a lovely idea. Maybe you need to create your own and print pages off and bind it yourself!
