One of favorite stories about Bobby Heenan is: Someone from the office called Bobby's house and his wife answered. The caller asked "My I speak to The Brain please?" and Bobby's wife said, "You're speaking to the brain. If you want the a$$hole, he's not home right now.".
When Conrad made the comment about "paying homage" to Bobby Heenan, I could swear I heard Heenan saying "don't pay homage, pay in cash...." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

My favorite Henan moment was when KoKo B Ware made his debut and Henan referenced knowing his brother Tupper...

More to the Brain though!
I loved that the jobbers were ham and eggers
Heenan and the Blackjacks versus Bruiser Crusher and Little Bruiser. Great stuff that will never be duplicated nor forgotten. RIP to a Great Man!
I see bobby heenan, i click
Bobby as a manager was the man you loved to hate. As a commentator he was outstanding. He made me laugh out loud numerous times.
The goat, even as a kid they tried to get you to hate him but how could you not laugh at his lines
Never missed an episode of Prime Time when I was a kid

Him and Perfect teamed with Flair were gold
Love you guys. What a trip down memory lane. Thx for the great stuff. R.I.P. Weasel
Wonderful stuff. Very emotional at the end. Thanks Guys.
What a time to be a wrestling fan through it all, to early 2000 it was awesome.
I remember first time seeing Bobby Heenan in 1984 he was with the AWA..
As good as Conrad & his stable of hosts are, if The Brain was alive & able to do a podcast today, he'd be killing it with downloads, even better than Bruce.

It's a damned shame that for the last several years of his life, Heenan lost the ability to talk. It's like Beethoven going deaf.

He was incredible. I remember when Bobby called the match between Andre and Hulk. He and Tony Schiavone called the match between Hulk and Bill Goldberg. Absolutely incredible!!!!

@General BUTTNAKED He'd rip AEW,Heenan was a true heel,he'd actually rip it all,WWE included. I'd imagine he'd be a bit more tame than Corny but I'd bet every bit as viceral.....

I fervently believe The Brain is the greatest character in wrestling history. He was truly amazing.
Was just watching the Bobby Heenan show last night lol
I worked out with Nick Kozak at hanks gym in Houston Texas when I lived there. At 71 years old he could squat 315 lbs and not overly muscular. He loved to surf and watch wrestling and encouraged me to give it a shot. He took me and a friend of mine to the cauliflower alley club reunion in Dallas back when red bastain was around. We went there and sat in a room with mic foley, bill mercer, al snow, Rick Steiner, Eddie Gilbert, the putsky (spelling) family, King Kong Bundy, skandor akbar when he was alive. They treated me like one of the boys and had the time of my life. Never needed or asked for an autograph. Kept the memory in my heart...
so funny,so sharp....the brain was he best..Thanks for the podcast!! Excellent work..
If you were going to do a wrestling draft Bobby Heenan would be your number one pick.

@@heathertiller3644 If it weren't for Bobby, Andre weren't be relevant in the later part of the 80's.
When I was watching WWF back when I was a kid, Jesse Ventura, Jim Cornette but mostly Bobby was who entertained me the most. I would tune in to hear these guys more than anything else. 3 years ago, when Locked Down I got curious. I knew many Wrestlers I admired passed like Henig, Bulldog and some others but I thought to myself...."What happened to Bobby". When I looked and caught up with what had gone on, I was shocked, saddened beyond words really. I saw how he was post 2007 when things were in Remission, but even that pales into insignificance compared to how he looked near the end. He must have suffered so badly for 15 years. I had to pay my respects. Years too late. But RIP Mr Heenan and thank you for your entertainment Sir.
If there was a true wrestling draft out of everybody past and present, Bobby Heenan would be my number one draft pick.
Bobby Heenan is the best announcer/manager in the history of wrestling. Loved him and Monsoon. Bobby Heenan could have been a comedian and had his own talk show. Miss him and Monsoon greatly.
I miss Bobby Heenan he made that late 80s and early 90s WWF wrestling a whole lot better with Bobby on commentary. And I miss Jim Ross on WWF/ WWE with Jerry lawyer on commentary. I love hearing JR talk and call Stone Cold Steve Austin's matches. Jim take care of your self. Love you God Bless 🙏 you
My favorite Heenan joke came while he was interviewing a kid and his father at a show in the south...he asks the father "if you and your wife got divorced, would you still be brother and sister?"
I really enjoy the program in general. This is an excellent show.
Bobbys best work was in the AWA in the 70s. Go onto youtube and watch his weasel suit match with Greg Gagne and youll hear audience heat the likes of which the WWE will never see. By the time Bobby became widely known in the WWE he was much less active in the matches and was just a mouthpiece. One of the all time greats.

GREAT EPISODE
P-R-O is what the Brain was. Brilliant guy.
1:22:24 Bobby was WCW his commentary was the best cracking jokes on everyone's gimmick & Mean Genes Seriousness 🤣🤣🤣 Classic 💔
I watch you all the time now you little weasel. I miss you Bobby Heenan.
Is there always a bunch of digital clicks and pops on JR's audio on these episodes for other people?

Yes Especially if you’re wearing good earphones But I’m used to them now
I know it was the way he wanted to go and how a heel should but I still get angry everytime I see him getting kicked out of RAW when he left for WCW. The best ever.
Imagine if Bobby Heenan was doing a podcast in today's age. I would tune in for every single moment.
Remember Bobby Heenan as a wrestler as a young kud and then manager thru my teenage years to commentator into my mid 30's. One of the greatest of all time.
Bobby and Monsoon on that talk show !
Bill said my favourite colour is green!
On Sept 17th and this popped up for me
I remember chasing Bobby Heenan through the mezzanine at the old St. Paul auditorium = Why he was alone on the Mainfloor =` l will never know = But he was = And he was speed walking REALLY fast to keep ahead of the crowd = l was about 11 yrs Old = my brother and his friend about 18 yrs Old = Everyone was gearing and saying get him = l think he was call the Weasel back then = he worked well back in them days for VERN G. =` HE INDEED DREW THE HEAT BACK THEN 50 SOME YEARS AGO = HE WAS GREAT = AND MEAN GEAN ORKERLAND = WAS GREAT ALSO. = I MISS THEM OLD TIMES = MANY VERY ENJOYABLE MOMENTS = I THINK BOBBY WAS THE BEST
Read Bobby’s books, really funny

Me too Brett but unfortunately I believe that Conrad thinks money will keep him alive. Sadly it doesn’t work that way.
Bobby was so funny man…
what is the popping sound?
"Fartherest." - JR
Conrad and JR sound very similar
The Brain Corny J Hart
Sonic's extra long cheese coney is also a grilled hot dog and its footlong on steamed buns.
Humanoids
Elliot's hotdogs, 37 Elliott st. , Lowell, Ma. They have the option of frying the hotdog in beer. It's not bad at all, for a hotdog.....
1:18:00 I heard Brain left because WCW would give him health insurance to get his neck worked on.
A horse has 4 leg's 1 in each corner then he just look's at you ha, ha, ha
Legally, it doesn't matter how old you are to own a home or car or whatever. The difficulty is getting a bank to accept the contract. Just try getting a checking account at 12 without a co-signer. The hoops I had to go through to do this were enormous. And all because of my age. It didn't matter that I had a cashflow and thousands of dollars.
It's turnip truck, not watermelon lol 6:40
As an aside, Jim Cornette will always refer to Heenan as the best ever. Full stop.

Heenan is also the reason Heyman refuses to be called a manager. Because no one can ever compare to Heenan.
Did Bobby Heenan and Jim Cornette ever engage in a rivalry at any point?
5 guys doesn’t grill the hotdogs they deep fry em
Its not up for debate all the greats say it's bobby.

He was the Jerry The King Lawler of WCW 🤣
I wonder how "skew-yewel" differs from "school".
It’s all the sadder he had the issues he did in his late life. He would have had his own podcast every but as big as Cornette’s of cancer hadn’t destroyed his voice.
How big is batista's.....you know
