Grilled Chicken Shawarma using the Trompo King on the Kamado Joe

I love a good Shawarma, but it's hard to get a good one around here in Miami. So when I came across the Trompo King I had to try it out for myself. Noam from Trompo King recommended me to get the pre-marinated Chicken Shawarma from Trader Joes and that's what I did. Watch the video to see how it turned out.

    I love how you just dig right in on your videos and eat it right then and there. No camera tricks, doctoring it up, extra angles. Just keepin' it real. Love the juice oozing out onto the foil. I never say this about food videos but YOU ARE MAKING ME HUNGRY!

    If I do this with beef should I cook at 350F. Also what should be internal for beef shawarma, 145F for medium? Thanks!

    Also did you go indirect heat to protect trompo king?? Why not just go direct ?

    Going to make this next. How many of the TJ Schwarma Meat was that? The packs I saw were small, like a 1lbs. Also, the only TJ tzatziki I found was a dip in the refrigerated section. Is this what you used? Thanks! Great Video!

    I think I used 4. But basically you cook for your family/party, so make enough for everyone. Probably aim for at least 1/2-2/3/LB per person you want to feed. The tzaziki and run through a food processors and added some chili sauce.

    We cooked it to at least 155-165 degrees internal temperature. Always cook to temperature not just time to ensure that the food is fully cooked. I recommend taking it as slow as your grill and time will allow. The slower the cook the more even and the moister it will remain. The higher temp you cook, it will go faster but you will cook the outside dry and might still have raw bits of chicken inside. Just take it low and slow.

    I bought Tzaziki at Trader Joes and blended it, added some hot sauce for taste.

    I bought them pre marinated from Trader Joe’s they have 3 different varieties of pre-marinated chicken thighs. Shawarma, Korean, and forgot the third flavor
