Great ideas, I use a commercial fryer degreeser to soak the grates. Also I use a good grill cleaner called "citrusafe" BBQ GRILL CLEANER. YOU CAN CLEAN IT COLD WITH GREAT RESULTS, also not expensive to get.
I need the rain to stop now so I can clean my bbq! This is so easy!

I would have pressure washed the grates as well.

I cleaned mine today before I saw this video. Never thought to use hose/pressure washer. I have electrical components because of the auto starter/igniter - So I’d be concerned to do that? I also soaked my grates AND used oven cleaner AND steel wool…and my grates still aren’t back to shiny (they are not cast iron).
Can you use the iron out on cast iron grills?

How about putting everything that fits into a dishwasher?
My issue is dumping the dirty water after soaking the grate. Handling the Rubbermaid is so awkward!
