Amazing review. About the god section. The actual lost chapter that Miura left out was released after his passing. You we're right on the money about it's place in the canon and the reason as to why it was left out. After you're caught up with all of berserk I recommend looking up said lost chapter, it's insane! 🔥

yeah the eclipse is the toughest part of the series. nothing compares to the horror of the eclipse but there are moments where worse things happen to people you dont know and the implications of just a few panels is enough to portray it without too graphic of panels. good luck.

Yea the biggest pain was that it was happening to characters I care about, I don’t get much if any at all shock or emotional reaction to bad shit happening to randoms, reaction usually consists of “damn”. Thank you!

Ive absolutely loved your reviews ! I find myself wanting to see if people reacted the same way I did 😅 Also im not sure if you noticed that the Demon who killed Pippin was also the same Count from the first arc. Its a cool little detail

The demoness who had Corkus' head in her mouth is the same one from the opening chapter,so she got what she deserved,same goes for the count who ripped Pippin's body in half

Unrelated to this video but I just finished reading the first red rising trilogy you recommended me more than a year ago now. I tried reading it earlier but for some reason it didn't capture me at the time. However, a couple of weeks ago I gave it one more shot and finally got hooked after Eo's death. I blazed through the series these last couple of weeks and just finished the reading the last book literally five minutes ago and I saw you just posted so I thought to comment about it lol. Loved the first two books. The third one was great too but I could see the twist at the end coming from a mile away and I just feel like it was one twist too many!!! Or maybe I read trilogy all in one go and it would have been better if I had to wait for the third book to release for a couple of years. I am gonna get to the second series after taking a lil break from this. Is it as good as the original or is it even better? Also, do you have any other suggestions preferably high fantasy would be a nice way to reset my sci fi saturation. P.S: Natty or Not?

Yes! Red Rising honestly might be my favorite on going series right now, glad you read it. I audiobooked them myself while working so the twist was a bit of a surprise to me but not too much. The sequel series is equally great if not better at some points! The first book is a bit of a builder but I just finished Lightbringer and I can’t wait to get more. Depends what you want when it comes to high fantasy. The highest fantasy would be Malazan that’s a huge commitment but a must read journey. (But hard to get the grasp at first, I’d save until you’ve read things like…) Stormlight Archive, Wheel of Time, Name of the wind, First law. And YES Natty! About video. Well man, welcome to the club buddy. 3 times full reread, and it gets more painful every time. But God have mercy. HOW BADASS GUTS IS. MAKE THE SHIT HAPPEN OR DIE TRYING. what a fucking man. This is why berserk is so much inspirational, bo matter how dark this shit gets, till you alive, you can fix at least something. That's how our life works. You get interesting point, about how fucked up guts life till this moment, and then it gets worse, this thing get me to thought - guts progressively overload pain ☠️

You finished The Golden Age Arc! Congratulations! Hope you will enjoy The Lost Children Arc as well, which is personally my second favorite arc in the manga and has some wtf moments 😅 And also good for you for understanding that Griffith actually did something wrong.

If you remember back to the Black Swordsman arc despite Gut's utter fearlessness there was one demon that he was absolutely terrified of who seemed to be haunting him. That demon was his child casca has in these chapters.

This is definitely the worst of fhe worst so you can rest easy in that regard The graphic content still exists for some time but it's not as bad as this and even they eventually disappear further into the series

Also one important point to note Each story arc in Berserk is VERY different from the other In all kinds of respect For some people it can be negative as they'd prefer the series to be one type of way all the time But for most others it's a positive Each story arc offers a different flavour of fantasy different structure different themes being tackled and different cast of characters Also the tone of the series changes arc to arc So just a fair warning The series is never gonna be like Golden Age again Same goes for other arcs as well but more so for GA Enjoy the ever evolving ride of Berserk The artwork NEVER stops getting better

Hello, long time subscriber here. Started following you for your reviews of Wheel of time. Would absolutely love to recommend to you Hunter X Hunter. It is one of my favourite series and considered one of the beat manga series. The magic system is the best I have read in fantasy. It is a character focused shounen manga, with a plethora of goat 🐐 villians that you will fall in love with. Some of the best arcs like Chimera ant arc, Succession War Arc, Yorknew City arc. It is just amazing. Most berserk fans also enjoy hunter x hunter.

Thank you for sticking around so long I really appreciate it! I actually watched Hunter X Hunter at the beginning of Covid, I really enjoyed it a lot. I’m trying to find the right balance of fantasy and fitness/self improvement on this channel. Berserk works ok to review normally because it’s themes an audience kind of align with fitness/self improvement but I really want to find a way to incorporate less obvious series like a hunter hunter or Wot in a way that non readers could enjoy and maybe get into

For me the best storyline I have ever read is succession war arc, so many characters and moving plot points. You can also rank characters nen abilities

Man the violence and nude is necessary to illustrate what the Author Kentura Miura have to convey or say his fiction works, many writers have to bring reality issues in their written William Shakespeare wrote of the politics and morals of is time, nothing is sacred to hid from, has person growing up in the ghettos seen violence, sexual and murder what the late Mr Miura San show in his fiction hid no punch is okay to me, so what the different between Guts violence killed people and Griffith's sexual relation violence with Casca, display or DC Joker murdering skinning alive and rape Shelley Frost.

I agree with you that these are things that belong in stories and should be discussed violence sexual or not happens. The difference for me is that the sexual bits tend to show and emphasize not the violence but the sexualness. Like there is straight up multiple panels showing nothing but close ups you can’t tell me that adds to the “horror” I get the point from the few key panels the rest is kinda just gratuitous.
