The stages of Grief issues I think are some of the strongest issues ever written. And Pat Gleason and Mick Gray’s art brings it to life in such unforgiving detail. The expressions are heartbreaking. The melancholy pervades every panel. And the scene where Batman says he’s sorry for not seeing the depth of Alfred’s pain-for not seeing that he wasn’t the only one who lost a son-gets me every fucking time. Alfred’s pain is so real.

I love how the death of Jason Todd was supposed to be a JOKE. DC left readers on a cliffhanger on the issue prior, asking them to vote on who they should kill off--Jason Todd or the Joker. People wrote in voting to kill off Jason, not expecting DC to actually do it. But they did, and it actually helped turn Batman into a more tragic hero (as opposed to the goofy Adam West version).

Damn the way it ended killed me a bit
Man... This hit me hard at the time. The title is super callous, come on, still too soon.
we are number one
Daily reminder that Bruce is such a tragic of character. And same with Alfred
Brother, the loss of a cat is nothing like losing a child. Cmon now.

Grief is grief mf, stop trying to gatekeep death, sure the death of a kid is nothing like a kid but some people still think of their pets like kids
dude this is depressing.
Bruce Felt bad when his son Damien died just like how he felt about the death of Jason Todd
Bro really changed the title from killed to this☠️☠️☠️☠️
I love how the death of Jason Todd was supposed to be a JOKE.

Si hubieran votado al joker me pregunto que hubiera pasado?
Sabretooth would be a good study of a persistent villain. He comes around wolverine's birthday to hunt him...
How did Damien come back
WHY IS THE VIDEO SO BRIGHT BRO GOD DAYUM
Brother don't end it like that hahah
I read this entire comic up to the point of his revival because I thought it had some continuity with that offshoot story about the joker screwing with damian
pain
This is how I felt when pizza tower didn’t win the game awards
4:27 is the funniest thing I ever seen top left hand corner
This one made me feel bad as fuck shit

Bruce: "I can't believe Damian died... It's something I'm just unable to process..." Jason: "Don't worry, Bruce. I'll take care of everything." Bruce: "Really? You really are a great brother, Jay.." Jason: "No need...I'll make sure to buy the best chsmpan" 😉 Bruce: 🤬
Sad story, but DANG THAT ENDING GOT ME (for those reading that hadn't gotten to that point, just give it a bit, and the context will come)
Peter Tomasi deserves more credit.
top 10 funniest moments
4:01 This has got to be the saddest thing I have ever heard in my entire life
Having every sidekick come back for very specific stage was great. Rage and Acceptance specifically. Too bad comics kinda ruin finality with different storylines that undermine other storylines in the worst ways possible.
Is it crazy that I recognize Re7 saferoom soundtrack?
he's just like me for real for real
I'm not trying, I have something in my eye, I say every time I get to the Alfred part.
There was one other Robin that was killed, but we don't talk about that. Mainly because it makes Bruce look bad.

Most short-lived Robin, too. At least she eventually came back.
