GRIDSERVE is building an Electric Forecourt® in Norwich, opening 2022

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Take a sneak peek at our all-new Norwich Electric Forecourt®, located to the east of the city and on track to open in the first half of 2022. The Norwich Electric Forecourt® is the second ultra-modern facility of its kind, after the Braintree Electric Forecourt®, and features high-power EV charging for all vehicles plus a raised podium platform for retail and leisure facilities. And the best news is that it's all powered by net zero carbon energy!
This footage was captured at the start of the year and we're delighted to say progress continues at pace. We can't wait to open our doors at the end of April and welcome EV drivers in Norfolk and beyond to the future of EV charging!

I’d love to hear more about timelines for this and all other charging hubs. Can you provide indicative timings somewhere here or on you webpages? Thanks

Missing drive through charging bays. This is essential atleast for motorway services. We need to be able to catter too people pulling trailers, disabilities and buses or vans. All of which work better with drive through charging bays. Otherwise absolutely brilliant job.

Is there plan for this kind of infrastructure to be located right next to major motorway that connects between the 4 biggest cities in Uk? That's where new infrastructure can makes the impact to the most amount of EV drivers. It seems most of these new projects are done in very remote part of the country. I really don't understand why.

As long as DNO's energy sources are not sustainable. EV charging bays can't be called renewable energy

They can because Gridserve generate a lot of their own power, and what they don’t they buy from renewable sources. So yes the actual electrons could come from any source - but in terms of what’s sold vs what they buy - it’s all from renewables.
