i feel like thats not really fair considering most speed drummers only practice speed and just play blast beats and most other drummers dont practice speed to get up to 280. most of these songs they do are doable or at least attemptable but no one can blast at 280 unless they practice for years focusing on speed. i dont want to hear a chops drummer try to blast beat at 280 or hear an improvised drum part over what is supposed to be blast beats. not saying nick barker or george kollias arent amazing drummers but if you dont practice speed for years it just wont be attemptable in a few hours. maybe you can have nick barker try to do a jazz song or a periphery tune.

@MrCrowley "Greyson Nekrutman from Long Island, New York has been named one of the nation's “top-performing high school jazz musicians” by the National Association for Music Education. He has garnered an international following through social media for his versatility and distinctive technique." Hmmm. Guy being called a jazz prodigy by one of KZread's largest drum channels (Drumeo) is probably a bit better than you give him credit for. Watch him play Caravan and see if you still think he isn't pro level, a lot of pros would give their left nut to be able to play like him.

A7X definitely meant for there to be a lot of little mistakes in the playing. M Shadows talks on an interview with Nick Nocturnal that the band wanted something that wasn't overproduced and glossy. They really wanted to experiment and try new things and just be raw. It's not like the mistakes are intentional, but they didn't care to fix and clean up every single tiny detail. As (somebody, didnt catch the name) pointed it out, the thing with the high-hats was cool. None of the mistakes pulled me out of it. It doesn't matter. Music is meant to be immersive and make you feel something. That was a sick af cover and impressive that you played that well with that little time.
