I liked Rose as a person but not with Derek. Wish she would have stayed around and ended up with someone else. She is funny and pretty just should not have been tossed in for a drama couple there was plenty of those.

In rewatching the show, I always avoided any scenes that involved Rose. She knew she was just a passing fancy, it was a fluke, the whole hospital knows Derek and Meredith are the 'it' couple. I just can't, I cannot look at her. Hate her!!

The point in S4 E17 where Meredith realizes that the tumour is shrinking and she tells Rose to tell Derek, when Rose tells Meredith that that’s the kind of news he’d want to hear from her. I felt so sorry for Rose because you could tell what was coming and she was so nice and normal. This sadly is why the nice guy usually dose finish last. Also watch closely at their first kiss, she nibbles, I’m pointing this out as I don’t know I’ve ever seen that on screen.

she was kinda nice and seemed like a fairly good person but she def needed to back off Derek bc she said she knew he was with Mer BEFORE she decided to kiss him...Rose was basically a distraction for Derek until Meredith was ready to commit to a serious relationship ✋😌❤️✌️

The reason people hate Rose and not Derek "He was hurt, tired. He was trying to fix a bullet wound with a band aid. He thought maybe just maybe he could fall in love again. Or Maybe the jealousy would awaken the commitment in Meredith that nothing could. He had hit a dead end with Meredith so he was just trying anything that could work. Rose on the other hand had heard about the legends of Merder. She knew that they were endgame. (She was blind if she didn't know.) Same. The entire world can tell that Derek and Meredith are in love with each other. It doesn't matter if they're together, everyone just knows they're endgame. Rose should've backed the hell off. Plus, if someone has to repeatedly assure you that they're over their ex, there really couldn't be a clearer sign that they're not over their ex. Dumbest character ever.

sirijusblack Meredith has been through hell and back. She lost her mother, she held a bomb so it wouldn't explode in a patient and then suffered a major explosion afterward, asked a gunman to shoot her, and went up and down with the man she loved, then he recently passed away, and add on having a baby in the middle of a rainstorm in the dark, needing a C-section and a splenectomy. Meredith isn't annoying, she's working though her mess. Meredith is complicated because her relationship with everyone and everything is not definite and that's crap in itself. She's "annoying" because she has her own way of dealing with things. Rose is a filler. She's not what Derek wanted because Rose is a little bit self-centered and although they had a great thing, Meredith will always be Derek's other half.
