@gmt87801

There is an even better live version, and this one is FANTASTIC. Josh is just a genius vocalist… and Sam is an amazing musician. Hammond Organ is no easy thing to play. Bass with the feet and keys with the hands. I’m a drummer so I’m very critical of drummers, and I feel like there is room to add to the drum parts for some of their songs, but overall he’s solid and always right on the pocket, and the guitars (I also play guitar) are always simple yet punchy and catchy. Josh anchors this band though. He is probably one of the best vocalists in music right now. People compare him to Robert Plant, but I think josh has more range and power. Josh has a stronger falsetto. It almost sounds like a chest voice it’s so strong. Sorry this band just geeks me out right now. The first record rocked, but this one really showed what talented musicians they are.
My husband was a camera operator for this and he sent me a text: “ we have the rock and the roll!” Yes, we sure do! Best concert I’ve been to in years (Firstbank Amphitheater, Aug 6, 2021) and I’ve been going to concerts since 1969!!! Thank you GVF! For bringing back rock n roll!

As my mom used to said: Primero Dios mijo!
I grew up listening to Cream, CCR, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, pretty much everything under the sun. We had no money, so for entertainment, we would drive Highway 1 to Big Sur and during the drive my Dad would give a quarter if you could name the bands on the radio. I came to recognize and love all music very early on. My brothers were playing “Sunshine of your Love” at 9-10 yrs old on guitar/bass and I grew up loving the sound of feedback on Marshall amps. Fast forward many moons and I now share music with both my 21 and 17 yr old. I pay no attention to genres or labels or comparisons. I simply listen to the music. I had my 17 yr old listen to Greta Van Fleet and she called it “Future Folk”, to which I responded, “couldn’t think of a more perfect description”. Music has saved me, emotionally, many times throughout my life and I know that is not unique to me. So many are struggling right now for many different reasons. What I enjoy most about Greta Van Fleet is how they make you feel, which is GOOD. We live in a time where we are being made to feel as though people are bad, to hate, resent, etc. Turn off your TV, stay off your phones (as much as possible) and go find something good each day. People are still good. There’s so much beauty in the world. Go find it. Listen to music and get inspired, creative, allow it to change your perspective on a difficult situation. Go take a walk, run, hike, swim. Talk to your neighbor, go run in the woods and look at the trees, moss and birds. Listen to your kids, and their music- Love your kids and then love them some more.

I really don’t understand why this band gets hated on even if they sound like Led Zeppelin like people say they due, they are keeping and old style of rock and roll alive when I heard there music for the first time I instantly got hooked on it definitely one of my favorite bands, then you have people bitching cuz the old rock is dying out and you get young band like this and instead of enjoying there old school style of rock they get hated on. I think they’re great musicians but I don’t much like their material. That’s a pretentious thing to say though so maybe I can put it better by saying this song is their best by far IMO and sounds like it should be the intro to the most ridiculous progressive rock album since Relayer but instead, it’s the first song on a pretty conventional rock album albeit with exceptional execution. Maybe it’s just a stylistic thing but I really want to like all of their stuff and I just don’t. Could very well be I’m the one who’s wrong here, and I’m rooting for them regardless.
