i can't put my finger on what it is, but their unassuming attitude and natural authenticity goes a very long way in their appeal. They aren't acting like rock stars, while they are ALL superb musicians in this genre. They are simply excellent and refreshing. After years (or is it decades?) of pretension, it's nice that a band emerges with talent and savvy as well as humility.

I've saw them live 4x in a year. The first 2 I saw he was still doing little dance moves and having fun, but by the last one his whole demeanor had changed. Much more formal in his speech between songs and moved completely different. Bigger moves, all over the stage, but more stiff and half the time looked like he was conducting an orchestra. Love him any way he is, but the change has been interesting to watch.

If I'm not mistaken.... And not trying to be a jackass..... But I think it's A) up to him to change and B) super dope that he does so to keep it fresh and add new spice to songs we already know.

It’s because this was concert was before AOTPA came out which had watching over on it so I assume they must’ve changed the lyrics for the album release.

There is a young guy who plays in The Doors Alive who looks and sounds just like Jim Morrison. It's scary. Weird, innit?

“And I grabbed my bullies shoes, and I shined them”
I love that the vocalist smiles at the audience and seems so un-self-focused. Needs to focus on pitch a little more but the spirit is just wonderful. Will go far.
