@reasedogable they were 7-3, but from what I remember, that was with cutler as the starter, who broke his thumb getting that 7th win. Then we got to see how terrible Caleb Hanie was, and also lost Matt Forte for the rest of the season 2 weeks after losing cutler. Although I agree that being 7-3 and missing the playoffs is unbelievable, I'm sure they would've gotten there with both cutler and Forte available

They should of hired an offensive mind head coach to develop Fields or at least hired an offensive coach that can draw up plays to Field's strengths. Also consistency plays a big role into developing a young quarterback.

What is so bad about this is the fact that we go into the season with so much hope. New promising rookies drafted, some decent free agent pickups, and in pre-season they look like they learned something from last year. Then they start the regular season looking exactly like what we had at the beginning of last season. The pre-season Bears could easily beat the regular season Bears right now.

As a Bears fan, everyone is to blame. Coaches do not coach. They do not develop, they do not adjust at any point of time, they do not work to their roster’s strengths and weaknesses. Ownership and management will make 1 big offseason acquisition every few years and call it and offseason. They will sign or trade for 1 big name and then ignore every other position the rest of the season since us Bears fan will just fill their bank accounts with that player’s jersey. Chicago fans and media also tend to overhype and overreact to absolutely everything. We are so desperate for any success that we start claiming we have an MVP quarterback one week and then next week we are begging for Bagget to start since he will for sure take us to the superbowl. This city and franchise are a mess and we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Well said. I saw this a mile away. The Bears are a disaster. Yes Justin shouldn’t hold on to the ball for more than 5 seconds but cmon the position they put him in makes him do such decisions. He clearly wants to run but he remembers what the coaches tell him…..”Justin don’t run”. The coaches are so bad in Chicago. For God sakes, they run the same plays from last year thinking that other teams don’t know what they’re doing. The proof is in the pudding Chicago and The Jets don’t know what it means to develop QBs. They only care about the fans buying tickets to home games. No one is saying that Justin doesn't need to play better, everyone including himself is saying he does. Like the old saying goes, "If you judge a fish based on his ability to climb a tree, they will always think they are a failure."
