It's a cultivator. It should work to keep weeds down around your plants. I just got mine too, so I'll be watching for your next review. Yes, the starting operation is the same for all green works but for this machine you have to get used to the delay between pulling the bar and the tines spinning; it's a longer delay like the snowblower. Maybe it's a safety feature? I love the string trimmer. A lot. And I've been using the lawn mower for 3 years. One of the best purchases I have ever made.

I have an issue inserting the battery into the battery site on the cultivator. It doesn’t engage the clip to hold it in place.

@@rebeccadees2300 it pushes in very hard. But make sure it's in correctly. I found the battery will go in both ways but only work one.

@@southernyankeehomestead3230 thank you for your help. I’ve been trying to contact the company but I was put on hold forever. I gave it to my brother and he’s had a problem trying to install the battery in the slot on the cultivator. He said it’s not engaging with the clip to hold it in place. I’ll let him know what you said.
