Green Mountain Rangers : Crye Precision JPC - Cummerbund Mod

Ойын-сауық

The Green Mountain Rangers present our thought process in modifying and setting up the Crye Precision JPC. Our mods to this popular platform are intended to meet our needs of sustainment, comfort and range of motion. Our elastic cummerbund concept enhances the flexibility of this well rounded piece of gear.

    Great video guys. On a side note, I was always a fan of the 6094B, but felt it was a little too bulky on the sides. We never modded those to slick though. But That was my mountain carrier. I like how you are pretty mission specific with your kit. I always had 2 or 3 vests/rigs. a Mountain/Hiker, A CQB, and A comfort/low profile (RRV set). So its interesting to see you guys apply your slick sets to everything. But the 6094B was my favorite, and I privately purchased after I got out for fun/nostalgia. Great Video. Thanks for enhancing the community.

    I really like this mod, and I think I'm going to change my setup and play style more to fit it. I also seem to have the same problem with the breathing restriction with the airlight system. I also like the idea that this system could be reversed very easily without a hitch.

  • @mporter1289
    @mporter12898 жыл бұрын

    have you guys ever looked into the PIG BRIG system? given that you don't ten anything on the upper molle on the plate carrier, I feel like the modularity, and incredible low profile aspect of it would suite you well. slick sides, slick front, and the ability to add a very low profile 3 or 4 mag chest rig (which is basically Velcro tubes with KYWI inserts, or a molle CR for whatever else you need. I personally love mine, easily the my favorite PC I've ever owned

    Military simulation nuff said, it's meant to be acted out down to the smallest detail possible. Everyone that plays in any mil sim event impersonates some military faction/branch whatever that nation maybe. If you feel so strongly that gmr can't dress up like devgru or seal team 6 and operate effectively and fluidly on the field because it's disrespectful to veterans, u should prob go rant on other videos involving any other top tier milsim airsoft team that "acts like seal team 6," similarly to gmr. The other teams you find may not be as disrespectful as gmr as you claim, but most copy military tactics and loadouts like seal team 6 which is clearly disrespectful to do so in your opinion.

    Have you considered using both the skeleton C-bund over top the pig elastic? Or even Cutting the Original Skeleton C-bund and sewing 2-3 columns of molle onto the pig C-bund (hell If done right you could even make it so the molle section is removable from the elastic). That way If you wanted to run any other molle pouches without having them sit directly on the front profile of your carrier you still could.

    We don't wear them for realism, the weight and balance of the vest is better with them. The vest feels more stable and your posture must compensate for bearing, I just feel more natural carrying the filled vest. Medium shooters from various companies.

    Hey Ronin, I wanna ask what kind of face protection do you guys run? I kind of like the face protection that you guys use because I'm using a mesh mask and it's very annoying when I aquire targets. I live in Hong Kong so there is no restrictions on full head protection but I still want to be safe. Thanks for helping me out and I love your videos. You have tons of fans in Hong Kong too.

  • @HighReadyClips

    @HighReadyClips

    9 жыл бұрын

    Hey Douglas, this is such an important point that airsoft as a whole has overlooked. Personally, I am 100% against face protection, and objectively let me explain my reasoning. I began playing when basic shooting glasses was the norm, and anything else was viewed as unacceptable. I had many early encounters getting shot in the face from 400 fps plus guns from extremely close and full auto, and honestly it is something that educated me, it made me examine how I entered situations and placed the pain compliance fear into my nature. I take personal responsibility every time I roll into a room, I know the dangers and it is up to me to protect myself. So I guess my "face protection" is my training, technique and teamwork. It makes you play with a certain level of respect for the "sport". Now if you compare that to the mass influx of new players who never known the discomfort of 3-5 shots to sensitive areas of your face, they have no concept of the risk in entering a room. They have zero fear and zero liability if they make the wrong play. This is one of the major downfalls in the progression of airsoft. If you asked me, I would say that any "national" or competitive game should restrict any type of face barrier for participants. If people want realism and honest play the first thing should be taking away is people's false sense of security. If this new trend was implemented, airsoft would literally change overnight. When we meet other players and see them wearing nothing like we do, I automatically have respect for them and take notice. Thank you the question and hopefully you can understand my perspective. Best method to being safe, is playing safe and calculated. If you are concerned about your teeth them maybe a moldable mouth piece is best and you will still get all the cheek weld and target acquisition benefits you are looking for. Thank you for watching our videos and asking intelligent and informed questions.

    two questions, are all these the same size? and what size are they? i figure they are sized to your personal size, they just seemed quite small on the video and couldnt really tell.

    The Crye JPC is sized to the plate it will be carrying, not to the user's body type. But I am 6'2 and 195 lbs athletic build and wear a medium JPC, and use a medium cut plate with it. Other guys who are stockier then me in the crew use the medium as well, I find this is generally the optimal size for vest coverage and dexterity in movement. The JPC looks very tiny because it is in reality, it is really just the plate real estate where some other vests like the LBT or some of the other carriers has some fringe fabric and are cut more generously. Nice thing about the elastic cummerbund is that it will allow the vest to be adjusted very tight and secure but still allow for a lot of movement and expansion.

    ***** thanks yeah i have had a 6094 for years but want to switch over to the jpc, the shouldering was annoying on the 6094, it never felt solid on my shoulder and i want to achieve low drag. the jpc fits all of what I need. thanks for the tutorial on the jpc- PIG mod, ill definitely do that to my jpc when I get it. Thanks again

    Will work exactly as intended with airsoft mags or live. Have tested and used it with PMAGS, huge assortment of GI production, HK, different polymer and so on. Pretty much any M4 profile mag it will accept.
