A lot of people think they take it to serious, or are wannabie military. Honestly, this is what an airsoftTEAM should look like. These guys have put so many hours working together and functioning as a team. Give them some credit. And how many of you can honestly say you wouldn't rappel or jump from roof to roof if given the chance. Plus, there was no rule against it. These guys rock and don't deserve all the hate. If this isn't your play style, then don't whatch these videos. Simple as that.

LOL no they don't. Have you actually played against/with them before? First of all, they only overshoot because people are shady and either take too long to call their hits or don't call them at all. Secondly, they don't cheat. That shit is ridiculous. Lol it's funny hearing people call GMR cheaters who have never played with them before.

I used to be sorta negative towards these guys....but my view has changed a ton. a complete 180. I played Airsoft with them wayyyyyyy back back. Somewhere around this time this video was made. a few years later I kinda gave up on Airsoft, joined the army, deployed to combat, worked with SOF teams, and here I am now. Out of the army. Missing the rush and missing the adrenaline. Ive played Airsoft a few times after being out and it didnt even feel fun anymore but that was playing at the bullshit everyone can play type fields. With everything going on in the world today, I decided I needed to go back to my roots. I built my own mk18 mod1, invested in some IR targeting systems and illumination, Ops core helmet, tons and tons of gear that I had once before when doing the real thing. But there comes a time where you need to train. Sure, shooting steel at some ranges and attending some classes is fun...but when dealing with other human beings...nothing comes close to it than Milsim. I can see why they got hate I.e.: an OC telling them to do one thing, when GMR felt that type of instruction wasn't tactically feasible; Reppling down a shaft; breaking a window that was already broken (those last two are dumb to hate on them for); the ordeal with retired Col McKnight was retarded. I dont remember the event exactly, I know there was a video of it that was most likely taken d own but after doing some digging and trying to read up on what happened from a 3rd party, it looks like GMR was failing to follow "orders" from Col. Mcknight, who was an acting leader in that game. The way SOF teams work for real is if a GFC (ground force commander) decides to make a move; that a younger, less senior guy sees differently and thinks the GFC's move is wrong and the younger, less senior guys plan/image of the battle field is right, the GFC needs to take his plan into consideration like "hey, shit, maybe im wrong and hes right...maybe his plan does make more sense". There is no "Hey, im your commander you do as I say!" when it came to the real thing. If someone saw a better route or a better idea of how to move around to engage the enemy/keep the members of our element alive...we took it. I get it thou, its Airsoft, they try to make it fair. But war is not meant to be fair and this is literally called "Mil-Sim"....you are trying to "simulate" war...which isnt fair. It was never fair that we would conduct a movement to contact with only 14 dudes, would take contact from forces x3-x5 greater our size....and if we felt it was too overwelhming for us to continue a ground fight, we just bombed the shit out of them. We had our fun until its wasn't fun anymore for us and we called in the birds or dropped some bombs. Take it from me, a veteran, I saw no offense there. I think the way GMR conducts themselves is WAYYYY better than how Ive seen airsofters after them conduct themselves. Theres tons of videos floating around youtube where I see grown men act like children. Where if there was a confrontation - Fuck talking it out, fuck going hands on, just flip that polar star to full auto and empty your mag on them. I have never seen GMR conduct themselves like that on video, or in person when I went to a couple ops with them. This is honestly something im condsidering getting back into because I need to keep my skills brushed up. And yes, im gonna be that asshole rolling out with thousands of dollars of gear...im gonna be that asshole who has nods and IR illuminators when the other team doesn't, because you gotta own the night. The only thing on my person that will be fake, is my weapon. So to hate on these guys because t hey take this too seriously is a fucking stupid reason. You just wish you could but you won't. This made me realize maybe I might get back into milsim to train myself in a way real steel cant train me. I can go to my ranges and brush up on my fast and accurate shooting. But I cant train with having the human factor come into play other than Airsoft/MilSim. My reason for wanting to do this again may be different than GMRs reason for doing this, because they clearly see this as their hobby. But is there anything wrong with that??? The negative comments in here are just so dumb and thats my take on GMR after going through the real thing and wanting to keep my skills up to par and getting back into this.

  • @jayceerocks

Best force on force training you can ever get is from MILSIM and the dudes in the comments (either former or current) can see the necessity for this stuff especially if you’re fighting an enemy with the same type of weaponry and tactics as you. Some dudes are just jealous and i think that’s what it comes down to.

@@jayceerocks when I was a private and my unit found my instagram, dude I never heard the end of it. I got fucked with so much over it but over time the more and more I explained it "like guys, this is really good training, so good to where we should incorporate it here state side for the training schedule"...and we actually fucking did. Doing squad/platoon live fires on pop up green targets was dumb as they dont shoot back. it just shows we know how to do the drill perfectly under perfect conditions. But as it always did in afghanistan for us, it never went that way. Something ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS went south. You need other human beings on the other side as your OpFor. And airsoft actually helped me when it came down to real gun fights. I did have to remind myself periodically (dude this is real, that bullet flying past your face rn is gonna kill you. Not send you back to a respawn HAHA) but still, it was wonderful training and exposure to the stress

there's a BIG difference between spending a lot on a PC and spending a lot on airsoft, spending money on a PC means you can play more games with higher graphical fidelity and better frame rates it can make you objectively better; but spending a lot on airsoft does not necessarily make you better, unless you use it for a good gun or eye protection, something necessary.

But thats how you need to to it in airsoft. While it is a highly realistic expirience, some strategies dont tanslate from real fire arms to airsoftguns. In the military we'd use blindfire before entering hostile rooms (this clearly is a place occupied by enemyforces, no civilians present). However in Airsoft you are not allowed. Furthermore Airsoftgranades are expensive. So just nading all rooms for an entire op is out of the question. And you dont die as in dead dead. So in conclusion there is just one way in airsoft to take over such a massive building: By swarming into the house and taking the rooms with as much men as possible. I think they are doing a decent job in mixing reallive strategies with airsoft.

Lawsuits would them be easy to win because it would be the fields responsibility to make sure they play in a "safe" area. That's probably why they got kicked out.

Tony DuBois i'm talking about the jumping from roof to roof, breaking windows, rappelling. It could be the case that they only provided suitable conditions to say, rappel during 'blacksheep' events, so otherwise it might be unsafe to rappel. If that scenario were to arise and one of the members was to break their leg, the site could be held accountable without a waiver signed
