I was initially against this show, until I saw everyone praising it. Realizing that the books moral suggested I give it a try made me realize: I do like green eggs and ham.

Guy does go through the hero’s journey and has a satisfying ending.
Alternate title: Raisorblade says “it’s ACTUALLY GOOD?!” for 40 minutes.
In the movie, The American President, Charlie Sheen quotes Green Eggs and Ham to the president who happens to be played by Micheal Douglas, which I found funny because Micheal Douglas plays Guy-Am-I
Bro I had the same approach to the show, when my friend tried to show me it I waved it off as being another quick cash grab that would be as uncreative as most modern day cartoons, but low and behold I watched the first episode and then binged the entire series in 1 day and was blown away at the quality, we need more shows like this
As someone who watched the show when it came out and was disappointed by the lack of attention it got, i’m glad someone is still talking about it a year later because not nearly enough people have experienced this masterpiece!
If I was gonna do a Suess movie, and split 3 stories into the ninety minute slot, each about thirty minutes: and i'd have the Cat in the Hat introduce them all as the narrator and framing device

A 13 episode series made off a 50 word book. Holy cow.
Happy Thanksgiving mate. It astounds me on how Adam Devine can be so lovable as Sam-I-Am, yet so annoying as Julian from Ice Age 5. Really goes to show that story and characters are key when making a animated piece of property.
“The next season will be Sam story arc” If you become psychic one more time you will be seeing a very short future

The guys who made this show should make an animated film version of Seussical The Musical.
This was me the whole time. Just like, this is so much better than it has ANY right to be and I love it and I will literally never cancel my netflix subscription because not only is this show way funnier and so much better than it has any business being, IT'S IN 2D AND NETFLIX IS THE RENAISSANCE OF TRADITIONAL ANIMATION
Can't wait to see your review on green eggs and ham and happy Thanksgiving
5:04 That's one of the reasons why I love the 2018 version better. It's way closer to the book than this one and they still let the Grinch be the only one to learn what the holiday's really about. I just couldn't stand how 2000 Cindy-Lou was the only one who wasn't shallow. 7:01 Greeting card for what? Sorry, didn't hear that very well. 12:43 You know, there was going to be a song called Biggering that would've taken the place of HBCIB. I don't know if you've heard about it, but let me just say...it would've added a little more gravity to the movie. 21:28 Is that a Grinch easter egg there? Considering they did the same thing for One, Two, Red, and Blue Fish, I wouldn't be surprised if it was. 26:26 Funny enough, I actually feel the same way; in the original book, that is.

Happy Thanksgiving Raisorblade!🦃🥧🍳🐁🏠🦊🚗🌳🚂🌧🐐⛴
Happy Thanksgiving Raisor 🧡🦃! I watched the entire show within a few hours in preparation for your review. I was incredibly amazed by how great this turned out. It has been a while since I've seen a great 2D animated cartoon show. It definitely seems like a show that can help uplift anyone who's struggling with life-consuming social anxiety and depression. I really adore Guy and Sam's relationship too. I love all the relationships. This show made me emotional numerous times because of how well the relationships were handled. And the lessons of "trying new things" and "keep trying" is really well worked into this 13 episode show with each character. It makes me WANT to do it! And it's way better then how other people try to teach it (by making us look bad about it first.) Sorry if I'm being a lil too deep. I can say that this show is going to leave (or left already?) an impact on me. I'm glad it has left a positive impact on you too. This is a great review of "Green Eggs and Ham" and I learned a lot from your summary on Dr. Suess and his work. Really looking forward to season 2. Also, you are looking very aesthetic. Looking forward to your next review. Take care.
Dr. Seuss’ real name was actually Theodore Geisel.
The sass the characters have are just perfect. I love this. 💖 That vegan bit had me rolling. 🤣 Also, I think Sam-I-Am and Guy-Am-I are a type of Who like in Whoville.
Happy Thanksgiving, RaisorBlade.
Yes I was very surprised at how much I liked this series as well . Now with how long Green Eggs and Ham came and even how long this review came out I’m hoping everyone here has seen it but just in case you haven’t I’m going to put this here: Spoilers below ⬇️ Anyway I found my myself really enjoying this series especially because of episode 10. Oh my gosh episode 10 is just my absolute favorite episode from the series because it gave the show so much depth in my opinion. Between Sam revealing the real reason he loved green eggs and ham so much and the him actually being the twist villain so just great in my opinion. Now I’m also happy they didn’t make it obvious that Sam was the villain and was the one who was actually working for Snerz . It made for a good twist that I myself didn’t see coming . I’m not sure about anyone else but at least I didn’t think they made it obvious . Now if I had known there was going to be a twist villain then yes, I would have 100% guessed Sam because he was the one who stole the Chickeraffe in the first place but I honestly believe he did it to save him from Snerz as we lead to believe. So yeah the series is just really good and I just loved it and can’t wait for season 2 😊.
Came back here looking for season 2. God, I'm excited. I hope they go for something like Finn's father with his mother. I'd love to see her be a deadbeat and Sam come to terms with it or something like that.
Happy Thanksgiving and a wonderful review. 👏😄 💖🦃🙌
Spoiler time but I'm mostly through the show and I think the episode with Guy.... returning to his family is genius and beautiful . At first you think Guy was just overreacting and was complaining about a total nothing burger. But they absolutely gasped when he admitted having settled for a stable real job (paint watching). They overidealized Guy and their expectations of him ended up backfiring--even if they never had one moment where they seemed obviously disappointed like he insisted. And tbh, it might be mean to say, but they really did denounce this downer, uncreative Guy as even existing? Sam might be right when he says they believe in him, but absolutely I could have imagined them going on and on about his peak self forever, which is, well. Torture. They're constantly setting standards that just make him feel horrible about not meeting. I'm pro-positivity in general, but also I'm scared of true optimism and hope that can't fully be met. Imposter syndrome can really mess with a person.
I originally watched this series on Netflix just a while ago out of pure boredom and it was indeed surprisingly really good. As most people know it's pretty difficult to find children's media that can also be enjoyed by an older audience, especially these days but Green Eggs and Ham absolutely nailed it. I also agree with you on most of your thoughts on most of the other modern Dr. Suess movies as I still remember being absolutely horrified by both The Grinch and Cat in the Hat as a kid since they seemed so mean spirited compared to the books and the makeup and special effects were uncanny valley for me, which is why I have a bias to most live-action movies and series to this day. I remember watching Horton Hears a Who two times in my life during two separate Friday movie parties in my middle school years, I found it enjoyable but still kind of forgettable these days. Have to admit, 2012 Lorax was kind of a guilty pleasure of mine as it kind of has a nostalgia factor to me as my class did our English project on the Lorax around the time that 2012 the movie first came out. Though you're right about how 2012 Lorax aged poorly and most of the plot is hard to take seriously. In a way, it kind of reminds me of Boonie Bears, which is an infamous "environmentalist" that is just bad jokes and marketing schmes in reality. Haven't seen the 2018 Grinch yet but I may or may not watch it on Netflix this Christmas just to see how good or bad it is. Anyways, if Warner Bros is planning to go to do the Cat in the Hat remake I still have hope as to how they manage to make it as good as Green Eggs and Ham.
Happy Thanksgiving raisor! Can’t wait until it’s done, I already have eggs and ham for my Thanksgiving dinner🥚🥚🍖(i hope that’s ham) Edit: I was Alvin long and Justin Sevilles terrible videos, I just changed my name and profile picture.
Another sad thing about The Lorax is that their were some songs originally in the demo track that were good but Cut out of the final picture like the song BIGGERING which is a great song and I reccomend it, Also you said Audrey said no more Live Action movies but since Audrey is gone do you think Hollywood will try to do the Live Action thing again?
OMG I'M SO GLAD TO SEE MORE PEOPLE TALK ABOUT GREEN EGGS AND HAM!! I love your video and it's so good!!!

Plus you seen Dragon Prince? That is a great show on Netflix. (Depends if you'll be on the stream longer as next year, I'll leave it and switch to Disney Plus.)

5:30 - For the love of god, please, no. You have no idea how much of a relief it is to hear people critique that film without fixating on the adult jokes...
The only cultural significance The Lorax movie made was "Tumblr Sexy Man"
RaisorBlade: Cat in the Hat is terrible. Everybody else: You’re right but, the memes are funny though.
The second season is the icing on this Netflix series cake.

can you make a review on tom and jerry the movie
"Yeah I figured that out like three episodes ago"
I actually was expecting this to suck, given how the other Suess adaptations turned out...I have never been happier to be proven wrong.
Anyone noticed that the song "how bad can I be" was playing during when he explains the lorax?
To be honest, Mike Myers Cat in the Cat is ENJOYABLY awful. Jim Carrey's Grinch didn't even accomplish THAT for me.
This is based off a Dr Seuss book. A Dr Seuss book! A book where every page has a sentence or two and rhymes every time, and is about someone named Sam trying to get a stranger to eat green eggs and ham. That's it! How, I ask you, how did they come up with a concept involving someone trying to find their long lost mother, espionage, finding love, acceptance, incredible characters, all these plot trips, and making us feel emotions from a book about green colored eggs and ham?! These people are incredibly creative! Like wow! Bravo!!
16:16 is when the topic proper (discussion of the titular tv show) actually starts. Goodness, that's a long preamble.
I've been honest but I really love the opening theme song it makes me feel happy that a lot of music in my opinion makes me feel the way that song make me feel plus I'm a weezer fan
Good To Know That RaisorBlade For The First Time Liked Something That Isn't Mediocre Or a DragonBall Series/Movie 😊😊😊 Nothing Against The DragonBall Franchise, But l am Simply Not a Fan Of It. 🙄

You know what, you've convinced me. I think I'll give this show a shot. Never been a fan of Dr. Seuss's stories. I am one of the kids who was more serious minded and disliked abstract or unrealistic things, so I hated some (not all) kiddie shows that seemed fake or were too out there for me. I remember in 1st grade, I crossed a line when I heard Dr. Seuss had died and was like Good, I hate his books anyway because they are stupid and weird. (I got in so much trouble)
@kichiwas-hargan4775

I'm sorry, but his "stupid" and "weird" books are meant to be imaginative and entertaining to young children and you sound like an exception who can't give things a chance. Look, you don't have to like the author or his books, but you've got to respect him for his dedication and hard work into them.

@@JakeSmith-mq5dcWell, that's a good start. Writers should be creative when writing books and abstract is part of the creativity. We should ALL be creative so that people will be entertained.
In the original storyboards, Biggering was meant to be the main villain song, until it was replaced with the bland and forgettable How Bad Can I Be. I've gotta say, why did they change it? It gives us more insight into Onceler's character. He's a man that didn't want or need to be a greedy billionaire capitalist like Donald Trump or Mike Bloomberg, he just wanted a simple life in a small cottage in the middle of nowhere, playing his guitar. But the demands of his products led him to grow his business and inviting his extended family over as employees. It also shows the Lorax calling him out, saying that his ego will lead to his downfall in the end, as the fish have nowhere to swim, the swans have nowhere to sing, and the bears have nowhere to eat berries, all because of the pollution from the factories and the excessive cutting of trees just for his Thneeds. And the survival of the fittest mentality only takes up one part of the song, not the entire song like in How Bad Can I Be. Then there's this lyric "Who cares if some things are dying?" In the final version, it's "Who cares if a few trees are dying?" That makes a huge difference, as, if a few trees are cut down, maybe it's for good reason, such as, they are causing the pavement to buckle and bend, or they are causing huge power outages, then yeah, who cares? But, with the lyric, "Some things are dying." It's not just implying that people are apathetic to trees dying, but also the entire ecosystem. The fish, the bears, and the swans. But no, they have to be "family-friendly" and change the song because of it. Come on, The Lorax was one of the most successful books of all time, and it had a lot of dark moments, even mentioning the pollution in Lake Erie. Watch Paddle to the Sea to know what the book's talking about. You know what? I'll link you to both songs and you can tell me which one's better. *whispers* Biggering is. *whispers* Biggering: kzread.info/dash/bejne/laSt19Gle9LLcbw.html How Bad Can I Be?: kzread.info/dash/bejne/f6Vh1sixe7O0ZtY.html

All the 3d dr Seuss movies so far, except the Lorax, have been absolute G A R B A G E. This new 2d show adaption of the famous Green Eggs and Ham is so creative, and awesome, and justHOW DID THEY COME UP WITH THIS? THEY MANAGED TO FIT EVERY LOCATION THAT SAM MENTIONS IN THE BOOK IN 12 EPISODES, ALL WHILE THEY’RE WANTED FUGITIVES FROM THE LAW, ALL WHILE TRYING TO GET A HALF GIRAFFE, HALF CHICKEN BACK TO IT’S HOME ISLAND FROM SOME VERY RICH COLLECTORS? And just when it can’t get any better they add a second season in the show where the long lost mom is a SPY! And Green Eggs and Ham barely makes any sense in the 2nd season! It’s just for scenes with Sam and mom, and it STILL made my list for top 5 favorite shows of all time! WTF??!!??
They made nothing into something.
