This shows three things: 1) Queen were a legendary band 2) Bohemian Rhapsody is a legendary song 3) The effect of choir is magic. You can be 99.9% certain that not a single person in this crowd could sing such a complicated song by heart in its entirety, and most of them didn’t even know the entire song (most of them probably sang horribly wrong notes too). But all together, it comes out absolutely perfect.

It's not pitch perfect though. However, the fact there are thousands of voices singing in harmony averages out the various tones, which makes it sound perfect. It's the same resoning that if you look at those composite images that create the "average womn/man", they seem actually way more attractive. Because ironically enough, we are wired to seek the most average(read: symmetric") features, as they imply better genetics

Tears. My mom was British, fiercely proud of it, and LOVED Queen. Cancer took her almost 2 years ago and naturally this song was played at her service. I've long thought it the greatest rock song ever written and it carries more significance with each passing day. One of my very favorite bands has a song that’s almost 23 minutes long. I’m listening to it again right now, because it’s the right time. It’s certainly listenable, but it’s the kind of song that you’d need to listen to at night, shortly before bedtime, as you’re winding down from the day. My favorite song is almost 12 minutes long.

The 23-minute-long one is from 2015 and it’s called “Goodbye to Virgin Grounds Forever”, and the 12-minute-long one (my favorite one, probably the most beautiful song I’ve ever heard) is from 2012 and it’s called “Come Crimson Death”.

Imagine having command over 65,000 people almost 30 years after death. Proof of Freddie’s power

In an interview, Freddie once said that nobody would care when he was dead and gone. Well Freddie, do you see now how wrong you were? Listen to that crowd. Almost 30 years after your death, and they're all singing for you. I think it's pretty safe to say that doesn't just happen for anybody. They all care. We ALL do and always will.

Love how the clouds kinda opened up so sun could shine on the crowd as the were singing. I just know Freddie was with them in that moment

I think if he was still around, heard this was happening at this concert, and he and the rest of Queen was in the area, I think he would have called the other three up to let them know about this, and then convinced them to meet up with him there while contacting Green Day to ask if they could go on for a song or two. Imagine the reaction the audience would have then.

This proves that music is the language of the soul, 65k strangers together perfectly synchronized as one for almost 6 minutes straight, you don’t see that often

The fact that we can still hear Freddie's voice from the recording through the crowd of people singing the same thing means he has one of the most iconic voices of all time

Earth is 4 billion years old and I was born at the right time to see this.

Hearing 65 thou singing a 30 year old pop-rock-opera at a green Day -gig is neat af, I love it, but the fact that they are ALL IN, guns blazing, loving it from start to finish... Well, that can only mean Brian May and Freddie Mercury are the modern day Mozart and Beethoven, to be remembered for centuries.

Rest in Peace, Freddie Mercury. This song still gives me the chills, even today, after listening to it for so long.

this is the epitome of what any singer can achieve, no matter the no. of awards they win, after 40-50 yrs, and the crowd can still sing to your song... that's when your music transcends the ages and become a everlasting classic

I would've paid for a concert ticket just to sing bohemian rhapsody with other fans.

I would 100% pay for a ticket... I don't care how much... JUST to go somewhere and be a part of this. Someone organize this. All you really need is a large enough open field and a good PA system. No stage, no nothing. Just pump the music and let us sing.

something about a crowd of thousands all singing “i don’t wanna die / sometimes wish i’d never been born at all”…

one of my most magical memories was sitting in a tiny laundrette on the other side of the world and screaming this song surrounded by people i had just met from all around the globe - this song transcends language, race and everything inbetween❤️

In tears...... Life without music would be a mistake.

This is the first time I am watching this in 2024, alongside Hearts cover for "STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN" at the Kennedy Center and to be honest, I have cried. This is what it means for your music to reach out to generations even after you are gone. All I would say is they were legends who did what they had to do and now are at rest. 🥺🥺
