That is a very impressive harvest from Jade II! I might have to give that one a try next year. A long time between now and then though. At my age, I'm just happy to get to another gardening season :) Glad you compared it to Calima. I like that one, so seeing how productive Jade II was compared to it makes Jade II even more impressive to me.

And I tried Calima thanks to your assessment. Bought them last Fall. :O) The harvest of both improved just recently for the 2d harvest. My second and final video on beans will be multiple harvests for an overall vs. When I bought Jade II some time back, there were tons of Jade out there, but I could only find Jade II at one place. Vermont Bean maybe?? Anyway, if you have trouble getting some, I'll send you some. I've got lots. Let me know.

@@C3Voyage Thanks Brent. I really appreciate that! I haven't talked about it too much on my channel, but I've been having some health problems. I'll keep going on with the things I love like I always have. I just don't plan too far ahead until I get some things resolved. I always felt your channel was underappreciated, but I never could figure out YT's algorithm. They've kind of fallen out of love with me recently, but I'll just keep plugging along because I love to do it.

I sure wish the very best for you, hope it's temporary, but if not, hope it's minor or very manageable for a very long time. Nice looking plants. Calima apparently can hold better, longer on the plant without degradation from reviews I've seen. Maybe mark a couple of plants and leave the beans on them a bit longer so they may size up a bit thicker and longer. Fillet beans probably will give a bit less harvest weight than standard varieties. Got my Calima from baker creek last week. waiting until late August to plant since I'm going into summer in the desert now. Thanks for the comparison. Happy gardening Brent.

I let both size up some for the second harvest that's under my belt now. Well, I waited more, so it wasn't on purpose. 50oz Calima vs 64oz Jade II. I will try to wait a bit longer for the 3rd harvest. All 6 beds looking good still.
