Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video, I discuss how to ensure you can save Open Pollinated seed of squash, cucumber, watermelon, and cantalooupe (all cucurbits) that will remain true to type for next year's garden. I also discuss how to cross pollinate along with what will and will not cross pollinate. Lots of stuff crammed into this one!

My first garden many moons ago, I was wondering how come my baby fruit kept dying and drying up. Now with so much online info as a resource it would have changed my learning curve soooo much. Thanks again for another show and tell and how to! Take care and Happy Gardening Brent.

Probably would have gone All summer with ten foot tall zucchini and butternut squash plants and no fruit with out this video. I was thinking these little red bugs that would eat my tomatoes as soon as they turned red last year were biting the flowers off. Thanks for the video.

Another well made video chock-full of information. Did you do this for a living or is it just a retirement hobby?

Hobby mostly. I am preparing for a limited sale of seeds for 2025. We'll see what it all entails and if I pursue it. So, there's some business thoughts, but really, it's just fun for me and makes me feel good.

So we are having another June with cold nights but finally my zucchini and grey squash have blossoms. HOWEVER, they are ALL male. Will this change?

Yes, most likely. Many varieties start off male. You can hasten female flowers, but pulling most of the male flowers as soon as you see them before opening. Let them go again after females start showing.
