Not a fan of either the Vikings or Packers but got to agree 1000% Kohl. Kirk is a good (not "elite") QB and if he has the protection that the Vikings O-Line had in this season opener, they will be at least a playoff team.

I think if you put Kirk on a well-structured team that isn’t lacking in any particular area that he will put up monster numbers. But he’s not really a QB that can make something out of nothing, once things start to not go his way he struggles

Seeing us play with an offense designed in this century is so much fun. In a more competitive game, JJ goes over 200 easily. Secondly, I hope this goes to show how insanely good Danielle hunter is. The Vikings were a 12-15 defense last year prior to his injury, 31-32md post injury.

He's going to annoy & tire out his receivers doing that all year. _That's_ the likeliest on-field thing that screws them over.

Everyone is underestimating the loss of Davante Adam's. He was such a huge part of the offense.

I really hope Kirk silences a lot of haters and critics this year with a real offensive minded play caller and head coach. He’s had some monster years, key game winning plays (zimmer normally cancelled these out with his d) and been all around stellar yet always gets so much hate.

But this time, his arm is too weak to even try them. That's his secret weapon at the end of games. If that's gone, he's gonna have few wins this year.

So grateful to have the team and coaches we do now. especially the QB we have as well. Struggled so long on qbs now we have one of the best qbs in the league.

I agree with Jesse. You are blind if you think the Packers were "in this game." They were dominated, start to finish. This is what happens when your front office continually lets talented WRs walk with something left in the tank because they either don't want to pay them or don't have the money to pay them, thinking they'll replace them in the draft or free agency. Sure, it worked for them for a while, but not anymore. I see a long season ahead for Mr. Discount Double-Check. 7 wins max.

You can't keep letting talented wide receivers walk and continue to find gems time after time. Today was proof of what real football fans always knew: It doesn't matter if you have the best QB in the world if you don't give him reliable targets to throw to. Sure, great QBs do tend to elevate their teammates, but even the greatest QB ever can't do much with a bunch of scrubs and washed up players to throw to.

It’s hilarious hearing all these casuals talking about the packers “missing the playoffs” and “not winning many games” this year 😂 last year they came out and lost 38-3 to THE SAINTS, and that was WITH DAVANTE. They will be just fine. Give credit where it’s due, the Vikings had a better plan and were more prepared and they look very good!

Way to go Vikings! I have been a die heart Vikings fan for 46 years. It's been painful from time to time, but I will never switch. Jefferson was the star of the game but Cousins deserves a gold star. I think Aaron Rodgers was getting frustrated because his receivers weren't getting open. We all know better than to count the Packers out, but this one was sweet.

I was holding my breath, almost waiting for the Vikings to choke in the second half like they had numerous times the last couple of seasons or for Rodgers to find his receivers, but neither happened. Much credit goes to Cousins for consistency, accuracy, and dedication. I am so glad they stuck with him. Yeah!

Rogers is such a great leader. He sits alone and sulks the entire game. Never says a word to teammates. Makes denigrating faces when his teammates makes mistakes. How much more can you expect from this future HOF'er? Who can criticize him, surely not the Packers or their fans. Cos he's superman. Don't tug on his cape. He sits in his fortress of solitude. The older he gets, the better he gets.

Kirk looked good, the whole team looked good.

Clearly, Aaron Rodgers has decided to take week 1 off every year.

Always was a fan of Kirk, good to see him get some more protection. Didn't happen on every play, but on the plays where he did get some time he made it count. A through and through pocket passer.

This is what happens when you choose hosting Jeopardy over gaining chemistry and trust with your new receivers in the off-season 😂. Great job A-Rod!!!

Insane game for JJ. In my opinion I think the Vikings could of done better but Kirk and JJ will be scary. They did not even get Thelein started going. Cook not a great start, then he picked up his game the finished with 80+ rushing yards. At the end of the day we beat our rivals by 13 great job Viking! Skol

I've been crying for an o line for way too long, when the o line plays good he'll sexy rexy, smokin Jay, trubisky, and even fields has shown they can ball with the best of them and look damn good. That's been our biggest issue is we put bowling pins up front to protect our QBs they barely look up from getting the ball from the snap and already have 1-3 guys in their face 😓

@@RPINCo yep total jones had 8 touches for 76 yards and dillon had 91 on 15, and dillon may be the big back but jones is better at getting in the end zone
