The true test of a sports fan is, even though your team sucks right now, your still in the stands cheering them on. No matter how bad they may get, i will always support the Minnesota Twins.

I was in high school when I watched that game at home with my mom. Felt like the World Series to me even though it wasn't, but this game is forever cemented in not just Twins lore, but Baseball lore, and I got to witness it. I'll never forget the crazy 9th Inning jam and the 10th Inning back and forth scoring and of course, Gomez with the winning run. Beautiful way to cap of the Metrodome for Twins baseball. Here's to hoping for better days.

Hrbek only gained about 5 pounds per year. But it adds up. Seriously, thanks for including his GW homer in his MLB debut in '81 (off of George Frazier!). I watched that game, because I was one of 15 people on the planet who gave a shite about the Minnesota Twins in 1981. Also, I was sitting behind the plate at Scott Erickson's no-hitter in '94. And I was almost at Molitor's 3,000-hit game in KC, but that's another story.

The one constant in my life is my love for the Minnesota Twins. I was born on July 4th 1992. Been a Twins fan my whole life. While my favorite sports may be hockey and wrestling, the Twins have always given me the best memories. I can remember going to so many games at the Hubert H Humphrey Metrodome, learning the beauty of the game of baseball and eating Dome dogs! I grew up watching Torii Hunter, Johan Santanna, David Ortiz, Brad Radke, Aj Pierzynski, Justin Mourneau, Joe Mauer and countless others. I can remember TC the bear signing my glove as a kid as well as my first visit to Target field after it opened. I will love the Twins until the day I die. Minnesota is a hell of a fun place to watch America’s past time and I cant wait for us to snag another world series title!!! GO TWINS!!!❤️💙

The Twins built such good fan equity in the 2000s especially in 2009 and again in 2010. But then 4 terrible seasons from 11-14, one bounce back but no playoffs season in 15 and a worse-than-terrible season in 16 have resulted in the Twins seriously regressing. They put out an unwatchable product now.

I'd like to thank the Minnesota Twins for cutting David Ortiz so that he can go somewhere and bring Not One, Not Two, BUT THREE WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIPS to a city that has not experienced one in 86 years.

Only the Twins or Vikings could do something so stupid, helped break the Curse of the Bambino. Come to think of it; the Twins haven't won the World Series since cutting Ortiz. The helped break the curse of the Bambino, but instead started the Curse of Big Papi.

I hear ya, but I think they did the right thing. He is having a career year and he was a utility player his whole career before this year. They are so far out of the race and this when you trade a player. Trade a veteran player when they are having a career year, their market value will never be any higher, so getting a top 100 prospect with a good arm is probably a good trade.

Jack Buck was a true legend, a professional in every way. One of the greatest baseball announcers in any book, he most certainly was not a whiner, but most certainly was a winner.

It was a joke. I was referring to the four series the Twins played the Yankees and lost to them in 2003, 2004, 2009, and 2010.

Huge twins fan here but the 91 series will always be tainted because of hrbeks cheating and the refs extremely bad call. Gant tagged 1st base twice before he was pulled off.

I don't think so; I've lived in Minnesota for over 30 years now and everybody thinks this World Series win was well deserved. The 87 Series they were very lucky not having to face the Cards with Jack Clark injured.

Not sure if you are trolling or not, but small market teams will go through down times in baseball. The Twins have a great fan base and they will get better again eventually.
