Deion Sanders had a huge personality. His nickname and alter ego was "Prime Time" lol. Played his college ball at Florida State University and professionally for the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens and I believe the, at the time, Washington Redskins. He's widely considered the greatest cover corner of all time. He also played professional baseball once competing in a major league baseball game and an NFL game on the same day. He has also played in both Super bowls and a world series

My first year at FSU was his last. I remember going to the $1 movie theater one night with friends and his Ferrari was parked in the fire lane in front of the place with a windshield banner than read : "NEON DEION". I didn't really follow college sports (I had just moved here from England) but everyone else knew who owned the car and said he was like royalty around Tallahassee. As a side note, while I was getting my MS Bert "The Machine" Kreischer started attending FSU. I never met him but the whole school was inebriated 90% of the time so his stories ring true. ;-)

Even before those guys, you had players in the 80s and 90s like Michael Bates and Eric Metcalf who were huge stars just for their return ability. Wish we had more of that in todays' game, but the numbers kinda ruin kickoffs. Way more profitable to just take the knee than risk a penalty.

I worked in downtown Baltimore when Jackoby Jones was with the Ravens. He’s literally the most chill athlete I’ve ever met. All that money they make and he would just be out and about by himself and wouldn’t hesitate to speak to fans or talk about a game, or the Super Bowl. Dude is very humble til this day. Go RAVENS. It’s also a shame that they are trying to remove the kickoff from the game. It’s the most dangerous play in all of sports. Most injuries occur during kickoff but go under the radar because a lot of special teams players aren’t huge names or are still eager to prove themselves.

5:20 Neon Deion started with and spent 5 years with the Falcons, spent 5 years with the Cowboys in the mid to late 90s and then finished up with the Ravens. The interesting thing about Neon, besides the 2 superbowl rings, the fact that he played ironman (both offensive and defense including setting records for most kickoff reception runbacks for 6 in a single season) for most of his 14 seasons in the NFL was maybe the 9 seasons he also played in Major League baseball. The guy was all over. This was the era of Jordan playing for the Bulls/White Sox and Bo Jackson playing for the Raiders/KC Royals and a few others who were literally everywhere in the 80s/90s.

17:20 that commentary is from NFL films. NFL films made short documentary type videos of old NFL games where they'll play an upbeat classical style of music in the background and have modern day announcers give you the backstory of whats happening. They're really the sort of thing that sends chills down your spine. IMO, they were a big part of NFL overtaking the other American sports in popularity.

Punting is risk-reward - the further you punt it on fourth down (to maximize territory), the better return can be accomplished (minimizing your territory.) The art is kicking it far AND high, with a long hang-time - the better for your guys to run down there where the balls is.

These are FAR from the greatest kick returns in NFL History. There are so many better by so many other players. Look up Tim Dwight - White Lightening for example.

My dad was a big Atlanta Falcons fan (for better or worse lol) and Deion Sanders was one of his favorite players. I think Deion also played for the Atlanta Braves when they went the World Series.

Deion was and is an NFL great. He was drafted by the falcons, but played for the cowboys, commanders (redskins) and 49ers. To me he was a Cowboy, because I'm a Cowboys fan.

Before this video even starts I'm 100% sure it is the same video as Devin Hester highlight reel... The guy should make it to the hall of fame just on this skill alone! Edit: Great returns but a LOT more should have been of D. Hester if the video wanted to truly live up to its name... You guys should do a reaction to him to compare!

The DeSean Jackson play on the giants wasn't him showboating. The game was tied when he scored, so he wanted to make sure to run out all the time so NY couldn't score again

To put it in perspective there was less than 10 kick off returns for TDs last season and less than 5 punt returns for TDs so it is pretty exciting when it does happen . I dont know the exact stats but I feel like often the team that gets a kick off return for a TD tends to lose .
