Great Smoky Mountain National Park was the next stop for the Retirement Travelers during their USA travel vlog as they continue retirement travel and highlight some exciting activities at Great Smoky Mountain National Park, including the Gatlinburg Skybridge, a drive up to Clingmans Dome and a hike to the top of Chimney Tops trail. There was many fun things to do in Gatlinburg and the surrounding area.

ABOUT US:
As the #retirementtravelers, we have always dreamed of traveling, but we never in a million years thought we would become #travelvloggers and start a KZread channel. But, that is what we did! We work hard every day to become better and create something that others will enjoy. Having a community of friends, old and new, follow our journey is fun and exciting to us.
In 2019, we achieved our goal of visiting every state in the union in our Airstream. We also visited every national park in the lower 48. We are big believers in lists, so of course we plan to see the remaining 12 parks in the next few years.
In 2021, we made the big decision to extreme downsize to just a suitcase and a small backpack, each. We started our journey around the world beginning in Central America. We hope that over the next ten years, we will have seen many beautiful things, made many memories and new friends, and shared the experience with our children and grandchildren.

Chimney Tops picnic area is my favorite place in the park. When it's 90+ degrees in Gatlinburg, it's a refreshing 75 up there. I've spent many days splashing in the river there with my kids when we were spending our summers in the area. Great memories.

We lived in Knoxville for a few years and we loved hiking Chimney Tops. Our youngest were in college, but everytime they came home, we headed there for a hike. Like you said, great memories! Thanks for reminding us today! John & Bev www.retirementtravelers.com

Yes, it is worth visiting. The glass bottom is the best part.

The bridge wasn’t too bad, but the glass bottom part was a little freaky.... We love Great Smoky Mountain National Park. There is some great hiking there.
