Музыка

NOT FOR SALE - TRIBUTE ONLY
This is my tribute to some of the great rock guitar solos from 1980 to 1984.

Please read: Dave Murray and Adrian Smith for the solos in the
Trooper.
Kirk Hammett and not Hammet...
I played all guitars, bass, keyboards and I programmed the drums with a Native Instrument plugin.
All guitars were recorded with the Kemper profiler.
Bass was recorded with a Neural DSP plugin

The Thriller solo is the one everyone always remembers because it's much flashier, but for my money, Hot For Teacher is the one. It's technically more difficult, more cohesive and is much more integral with the song. The Thriller solo sounds like someone showed up in Eddie's living room with a recorder, he plugged in and just played over someone else's music. Which of course is EXACTLY what happened! :-)

Much as these solos are at the pinnacle of rock playing, fast intricate licks aren't everything and many a good solo is simple. Don't knock yourself, but keep up the joy of just making music. And at the same time be grateful we have so much talent around us.

most of these arent that hard,im sure you could learn alot of these i used to learn really fast solos and songs at like a quarter of the bpm the song is actually played at and work up from that to half of the bpm and then normal time it worked well,i highly reccomend it, also learn just how to read sheet music and break these these pieces down. dont feel distraught if you cant play as well as eric clapton, hendrix, srv, evh or bb king lmao

Having said that, I'll never scoff at the talent that is Yngwie or Vai, Satch, etc. and others who have the ability to say things with everything they play, regardless of speed. It's always been my goal to emulate and exceed them and see what develops.

If you can't find dozens if not hundreds of current artists who are worth listening to, you aren't looking hard enough. Not that they all have the same exact style as from decades ago, to be fair. But plenty of it is not manufactured, and it's easier than ever to share indie/amateur music with the world. For starters, maybe check out Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Sokoninaru, and Nova Charisma.
