I easily see Limits Breaker as a friendly companion from a covenant with a qu’est were you have to summon him for a battle then go speak to him to join a covenant and he could sells stuff. Also , am I the only one thinking that the intro voice of Dark Souls 1 is speaking like Vaati but as a girl ?

Can you shoot the arrow then switch the bow out for a 2nd morion blade and get its bonus damage also? Going by the rest of the video findings I believe it should be possible, for even more illegal damage! (probably ~1650)

Limit Breakers tumblebuffed bow is too over the top? also, tears of denial + calamity ring combo does a neat job for the hyper mode, but all in all I think it's useless with the bow (you need an hyper armor 2 hit combo to deal enough damage I think)

the impossible buff stacking was referring to lloyds at the arrow release and then going to 20% HP for the morion/tearstone buff before the arrow exploded.

actually i'm pretty sure the buff counts even if you die... i mean, sure you'll lose, but you'll also kill your opponent. would this work as a buffchain? sunlight oath/sacred oath,tears of denial,iron flesh, dragon roar dunno which cancels what in which orderd, but if everything stacks, then you get a higher than 1.2k damage somewhat reliably, especially tears of denial. if tears can't be stacked then the blue tearstone ring may work to not make you die, though that doesn't always go that way, so the rign set would be... red and blue tearstone rings, lloyd's sword ring, and i guess whatever you want as a last one, wolf ring if HA poise works, leo ring as arrows do thrust damage... i think?stat rings if you want to cast but don't have the stats... what matters is the first 3 rings.

that... woud actually work... i think? though i mean, at that point you could also change to litterally any weapon and try touse their weapon art, but it may not work if it only counts the ar of the bow and not of te right hand weapon in general.

can you use the off hand dartcast glitch to buff the Millwood great bow with either the dark or magic weapon buff for more damage?

Have you considered using the Calamity ring to increase the likelihood that an opponent drops you to rtsr range while the arrow is waiting to detonate? That might be the cheesiest strat and also the most viable build for the calamity ring ever

Hey, I applied your trick to Otz's hypermode Affinity build, and threw on a couple of buffs of my own, and it one-shots everyone I use it on now. Sometimes with only three of the five orbs! Truly useless overkill. The total buff-up over base damage is 645% (or so, the guy I tested it was SL 120 with 50 VIG and Havel's on, but still died so it could be a little more damage than that, even). I need someone with a massive Vigor and Vitality gouge character to put on bug pellets and the NG+ dark and speckled stoneplates, and see if it's even possible to tank it. The character I use it on is level 72, with 45 INT and FAI. And it will seriously one-shot a 120 character without question. Were I go up to SL 120 with it, I'm not sure that the test example above could even tank it.

Sup Don! I saw your video the other day and that is some truly scary damage. I wonder if it is even survivable with max HP? Even with max dark defense I see it being hard to survive since Absorption is pretty useless in this game compared to DS2. In any case, tell me famalam if you play on PC, we would test this out sometime.

Limit Breakers Thanks! I liked how you could use the double Morion trick with Affinity so well, but as always, I just had to add more numbers to it. Sadly, I'm on PS4, so we will have to find someone else to create a "punching bag" build (50 VIG, 50 VIT, maybe some FAI for more dark defense). I believe it's possible at SL 120 to survive my SL 72 version. I think. Just need dark stoneplate +2, speckled stoneplate +1, black bug pellets, 100% weight armor with as much dark absorb as possible . . . I'm actually really curious if they'll even survive it then, from what I hear the stoneplates are kind of nerfed in PvP so maybe not. Now, the real test is, be there any way to survive it at SL 72? That I'm not so sure about.

Limit Breakers So, I did some testing on Dark absorb with my 150 friend's character, he was a Faith build so he had 189 dark defense to start. With both spell rings and around 25% absorb, he survives with a little under 200 HP, throwing on the dark stoneplate +2 and speckled +1 drops the damage from 1620 to 1480. I'm pretty sure part of that's the flat absorb he's got with his massive Faith stat. Oddly enough, even though he's 150 and I'm 112, he didn't get downscaled at all, whether I was the phantom or he. I shouldn't be in range . . . Of course, as soon as he changed back to his usual loadout, I leveled him. :) From 45/45 to 60/60, your spellbuff on Izalith Staff goes up from 222 to 270!

Nice! Interesting to see how powerful this really is. I still don't fully know how downscaling works, it does a real bad job at you know... downscaling stats. If you used a password though I think the removes alot of the scaling checks/penalties. So after testing mitigating this damage, do you think this is the most highly damaging attack possible? If so I wonder if spells such as Homing Crystal Soulmass can exceed it.

Limit Breakers It's kind of a toss-up actually whether this or Sunlight Spear up close does more damage, I've seen that break 1800 damage before. Homing Crystal Soulmass may be able to beat it using all these gouging tricks, but I'm not sure. Plus, at the same SL you're at 45/45 with a pyro (72), you could hit 82 INT with a sorceror. Not sure which would be better at that point.

Say, how does Power Within apply to the Millwood Bow? Seems like you left that one out of your testing.

I also prefer the old man digital voice over. but is a nice change to hear you LB

i mean sins the morion blade dmg doesnt have to be present when the arrow is shot does that mean u could use the buffs (hyper mode, roar and loyds ) and then shoot the bow then switch to a second bow and have even more dmg?

I assume that the reason Hyper Mode works is because Hyper Mode is designed to affect all damage you inflict, regardless of the normal rules. Perhaps it was coded that way, because Hyper Mode is a super-risky thing to try to use, and thus should have an appropriate reward. Alternatively, they coded the B scenario, but also coded in Hyper Mode as an exception, specifically.

Well the Lloyd's Sword ring emits a glow but I think the GIANT FLOATING ARROW 7:10 gives it away. Obscuring ring not that stealthy.

Can we get some useless data? What's the largest amount of negative bonus damage you can have? (like in the damage section of the weapon, it sometimes can say 48 +-X dmg?)

ever tried to Buff the bows with Crystal magic Weapon buff? You have to do a specific glitch and heres how you do it 1: Equip any staff ( it doesnt matter if you can use it or not) 2: have enough Intelligence to cast farron Dart 3: have atleast 2 Slots for magic 4: equip Any magic that can buff Weapons 5: Look away from enemy 6: Cast Farron Dart 7: quickly lock on to the enemy while you're casting Farron Dart( Remember to not move with left Stick At all) 8: immidetly switch to the magic to buff weapon 9: press L1 quickly to cast the weapon buff. And viola, you Just buffed a bow ( make sure to keep the bow on your right Hand when you're doing this) This Method Could work on spells too, but you haved to actually have to keep Farrron Dart at all times. This way, You can Spam the Crystal Soul Spear without the long Casting speed. ( it'll give the Dark Souls 2 vibes) You can Do this with All Other Spells, this includes Pyromancy, even miracles ( imagine Wrath of the gods with no cast animation) YOU HAVED TO ABUSE THE SHIT OUT OF THIS GLITCH BEFORE FROM SOFT PATCHES IT. Oh and um, when you Start to try to do the glitch, make sure to do it Fast. Edit: You can buff unbuffable weapons like this. You Can even Buff Crystal Magic weapon with a PYROMANCY GLOVE. IT'll RAISE THE AR DAMAGE OF THE GLOVE. Edit#2: You can buff Crossbows too ;3 Edit#3 Soul Stream Wont work though, it'll do the animation of when you cant Use the Spell, but then you end up knocking enemies back like normally. Edit#4 : YOU CAN USE THIS WITH THE ULTIMATE GLITCH FROM WHEN YOU CAN INSTAKILL ENEMIES WITH THE SACRED FLAME PYROMANCY SPELL. GOD I HOPE YOU ARE READING THIS LIMIT BREAKERS ;_;

Can't say for certain, but I do know it also improves shield 'pushing', which is a kick if you kick with a shield in the main hand.

ok so im guessing the way ir works is lloyds gives AR when full hp, but the damage buffs give higher damage dealt, so basically coded like that so anything you use deals more damage instead, so basically AR will only apply to the arrow when its fired, increasing the arrows damage as well, but if you are to get the low hp buffs as well those will not increase your AR per say but will increase the damage you do, so what this means is the game calculates the damage of an attack first when you cast it and the damage it does to the target when you reach it, probably to implement damge reduction from armor, and applied the low hp dmg boosts as an increase in the second number instead of the first, so im going to make numbers up now, these are definately the wrong numbers but look at how they relate. so lets say you have the greatbow and the arrow and they create shots with 100 AR on the explosion, so the arrow blows up and deals 100 damage to the unarmored target, you equip the ring and have full hp, now shoot the arrow and its an arrow with (lets say) 120 AR, doesnt matter what happens to your life after the shot the arrow has 120 AR and its about to explode, regardless of your hp the explotion did 120 dmg to the unarmored opponent. now you equip both low hp dmg boosts and lloyds ring and lets make up a number too lets assume they give a 50% boost to damage done, not AR but damage done, so you get your hp full and shoot the arrow on the ground, that arrow has 120AR but the damage dealt is delayed, so you already boosted you AR with lloyd, that arrow has 120AR but it has not dealt damage, so you lower your hp to >20% before the blow, the arrow still has 120AR but when it blows up the dmg buff applies to the damage done, so the 120AR do 120 damage but when the damage comes through it is augmented by 50% dealing 120 + (120*0.5) = 180 damage. conclusion: the arrow gets fired and AR sets the damage it will inflict, but since the damage is delayed you have time to activate the damage done boost before the damage comes through, so basically if a buff affects your AR directly it will only matter when you fire, if a buff boosts your damage dealt it will only matter when it explodes, id like to see someone test this by using this setup on a melee attack from a great club or something boosted by lloyd but then before the hit connects losing the hp and getting the red tearstone effect, that would be a good way to test my theory, until that its just a theory explained with fake numbers

My thinking for why these buffs work this way is due to how some buffs lie about what they do. Hyper mode buffs don't actually increase AR from what I recall checking long ago, they just flatly increase final damage by a %. In fact from the numbers you showed, that does further prove it's what it does. Base damage was 715, and if you increase that by +20%, you get 858, then +20% again, gets you 1029.6, and your damage in hyper mode was 1030. So since the ring and sword both add +20%, that would probably be why. I recall finding Sword Ring to actually increase AR like it claims, though I don't recall if I ever tried the dragon roar buff. IIRC, Sacred Oath, Oath of Sunlight, Power Within and Deep Protection all also work this way, with regards to increasing damage. Though they show your AR actually change, they just increase all damage by a %.

Okay, you don't have to go all the way to 1-hitter Quitter, though. I know what you do here, at Limit Breakers. You minmax, and that's great, but the Shortbow actually becomes a viable weapon with the LSR, the DTS, and the Flyyn's Ring. Best of all, you don't have to be at death's door to use this combo, you just have to be naked (Total equipped load is under 5 Weight Points.) Another one you haven't done is the maximum bonus damage you can get out of the Flynn's Ring, which is the Dark Hand. (DTS optional) Total equipped weight: 0.9.

OMG, illegal dmg pretty much instant kills anyone in the arena... And ANY dragon form users. By the way, did u try it with the other great arrows?

oh... Oh, no. I'm only at 4:00 and I know what's happening. The arrow stores your AR. But there are two kinds of damage buffs. One actually buffs your AR. This is more noticeable in DS1 where Flat Defense is higher than 100. The other only affects final calculated damage. The second type DOESN'T get stored, and updates dynamically.
