Fun fact: $97,500 is the highest 3 day total since Troy Meyer won $97,600, just $100 short! Meanwhile, Luigi de Guzman won $97,200 in just 3 days! Alison answered an average of 26 responses in her 3 games including Final, she has an average Coryat score of $16,600, she found 8 out of the 9 Daily Doubles in her run and answered all of them correctly and is 3/3 in Final Jeopardy. I can see Alison going far in her run!

Easy final jeopardy, got this one in a moment. Anyway- Alison is impressively smart and pretty, proving you don’t need to sacrifice one to have the other. Go Alison! Rooting for her to be a super champ.

Fun fact: The last time Isaac Newton was relevant in Final Jeopardy was in the second game of the Second Chance Tournament in 2022. The question was: Clones of an original one of these grow outside the math faculty at Cambridge University & in the President’s garden at M.I.T. When no one answered correctly, Ken explained, "All three of you were stumped, no pun intended. This was the apple tree taken from the garden of none other than Isaac Newton."

Yes but she is super annoying. I hate it when she pretends like she does not know the answer and have to guess when she knows very well what the answers are.
I feel very confident about Alyson she’s going to win at least 15 games.

Since Alison found 8 out of the 9 Daily Doubles in her run and answered all of them correctly, is it too soon to start declaring her as one of the greatest Daily Double hunters?

It might be. I called Eric Ahasic 1 of the greatest Daily Double Hunters, and his quest for that began after he took down 16-Day Champion: Ryan Long.

Another easy final question.
Alison Betts is such a great contestant. She is incredibly likable with a great personality on TV and plays with good strategy. If she qualifies for the next Tournament of Champions, she could very well be Troy Meyer Version 2, given that she has lots of charisma like Troy Meyer and given that her 3-day total right now is just $100 below that of Troy. I’m excited to see how far she will go.
Spoiler below: Allison is only the first repeat champion, and already she’s showing signs of superchamp material. I hope she continues to go far.

Interesting - I didn't know Newton was a scientist, as well as a politician.
Okay, it feels like our champ ain't stoppin' anytime soon...
I think we may see her in TOC game at the end of the season. Don't let her cute looks fool you. I suspect there is quiet assassin underneath. Go get um!

This one was pretty easy... but I teach physics and talk about his bio regularly. Worth noting he was knighted by Queen Anne in 1704.

I looked at that clue really hard. I was thinking about British people in that era. I threw a last second guess of "Who was Newton" thinking it would be wrong. Got lucky tonight.
